Continued Assault on Women's Sports

Thing is that they shouldn't have to boycott. Their competitive window is limited. It's hard to ask them to give up those few competitions they work so hard for, especially when they shouldn't have to.

At the same time, I watch this and know I could run into it. I don't relish the thought of ending up sparring a transperson. Practicing against the guys and young folks is one thing, but having to compete against a man would be a whole other ball game.

Perfectly said. Agreed, too, that the women's swimming teams should all boycott a meet or two. It's a shame they would have to miss out on competitions, but in the long run they would be better off.
Of course, his teammates are being threatened into silence; could be part of the problem.

No doubt his teammates are being threatened, probably with being cut, or not being allowed to participate, they need to preemptively take themselves out, you can't be fired if you already quit.

I agree with that, too. But, worse, in my opinion, is not being able to compete at all because Lia took my spot, or losing the women's record to a biological man.

There seem to be two bad choices here, until the NCAA steps up and does what's right for women.

I don't think we can rely on our officials. I think it will have to be a movement of the commons basically. Sort of like parents, er, domestic terrorists, are doing to schools.

It's really not much choice, get destroyed by a man, and lose unfairly..unless it's one of those meets where his coach told him to sandbag it..or just gracefully bow out of the insanity..might as well be pro wrestling.

I put a lot of discipline, effort, and lots of emotion (hard losses etc) into my athletics. I played year round throughout my teens, traveling tournaments on weekends, training during the week, gave up on a lot of "fun" times socially to do so, and would have been devastated to be in the position of one of Lia's teammates.

Quitting wouldn't have been an option for me.

I understand, it becomes ones life, I guess it has to, to become top level.

It is a very real need. I sprained something in my foot or ankle midway through one sparring match at the last tournament, walked it off, finished that match and sparred the finals to win. There were no thoughts of stopping because of injury. My foot looked like a sausage with toes for the next week, and I had bruising clear under both ankle bones and down into my middle three toes to the toenails - that's how bad I wrecked it.

There reaches a point where you'll crawl over broken glass to do it.

Of course, it's partially this same mentality driving mediocre men like Lia to do what they're doing. They aren't hung up on competing to be the best they can as much as they are on needing to win at all costs. It's the unhealthy side of competition.

That is all great except when you have things like scholarships, endorsements and a life time of sacrifice to get to where you are.

I get it, while I'm not super competitive, I do dig in with my hobbies, it becomes all encompassing.

The main point seems to be missed here. This is being used to further the Liberal Socialist agenda. It's all about destroying the icons of our culture. The Soviets started this in the late 50's and early 60's. In 1963 a Congressman from Florida read into the Congressional Record the "45 Goals of the Communist Party".

These goals were championed by groups such as the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), the Weather Underground and others. Those groups may have gone away, but, their members are still around. Hilary Rodham was heavily involved with the SDS. Bill Ayres and Bernadine Dorn were leaders of the Weather Underground.

This is the basis for what the Democratic Party has become. In past years Men's College Sports was attacked in the name of Women's Rights. Now that women are of no further use to the Liberal Socialists, they are being thrown under the bus in the name of Transgender Rights and it's Women's Sports that is under attack.

Personally I'm kind of in the middle over this. I keep seeing the same women athletes who were applauding the destruction of some men's sports, screaming for help over this. The ones that I feel for are the kids who are having opportunities taken away from them because of the desire of some to destroy sports.

Believe it or not, I actually feel for transgenders. What's going to happen when the Liberal Socialists find them no longer politically usefull?

Women haven't gotten there yet. Just look at the numbers. It's the women who have vastly consumed gender propaganda and now they are the ones driving this in mentally unstable and impressionable children.

What many people do not realize, is that women's voices that were critical of the gender nonsense were silenced. There was a large community, a subreddit called "gender_critical" that adhered to the original feminist thought that men could wear whatever they wanted-- but they would never BE women. And vice versa. Remember when a girl could be a tomboy and nobody tried to tell them that meant they were really a boy? Or boys can play dress-up b/c they're all just kids playing make believe, who cares. But that subreddit and others like it were shut down as hate speech. Speakers on the subject, scheduled to talk at universities and such, were cancelled, and some had threats made against them.

New wave feminism split off from that whole concept of not forcing roles onto children because "boys/girls don't do that" and jumped on the trans train to say "you must be the opposite gender if you want to do that!" The other, original concepts of gender, have been actively and purposefully silenced.

My Great Niece is on a Junior High School Swimming Team. We went to a meet of her's last weekend. When it was done I hung around while she finished her laps. Some of the Coaches were talking on this subject. From what I understand any athlete who does not compete in protest will have their scholarship stripped away. This has been made clear to them. Remember it is the Schools that are pushing this. I don't see the NCAA or anybody else coming to an athlete's aid if this were to happen.

It's pretty easy to tell somebody what to do when it isn't YOUR goals and dreams in jeopardy. They have these women over a barrel and they know it.
