OK ...Had enough

I'm pissed. No, I take that back. I'm so far beyond pissed that it's over the horizon and I can't see the light from it.

You know we just recently moved into a new house. We went to Lowe's, bought a new stove and get the thing home and the first time we tried to cook, it glitched. The top burners worked, but the over would just shut off for no reason. Right in the middle of cooking. Then the burners went out. Complete nothing. Won't turn on, won't get hot. Nothing. We call Lowe's. Sorry we can't take it back, you need to call Frigidaire.

So, I call Frigidaire. After 40 minutes on hold, I'm told I have to call a "Local" service center. After another 20 minutes on hold, I get a service call a week away. Nope sorry, blew my stack on that one and that got me a service call the next day. The guy comes, looks at it and says it's the outlet. This is an electric stove, which I hate by the way, I've ben cooking on gas for decades and that's what I used to. So, he leaves, I rewire an outlet, get a new pigtail, installed that and guess what. Yeah, the damn thing STILL doesn't work.

Been trying to get hold of Frigidaire all day, 4 calls and every time, it's at least 30 minutes on hold and then a recorded voice comes on and tells me "Due to our high call volume, we can't accept your call at this time" and they hang up.

So, you're telling me your product is such a POS that so many people are calling you can't keep up.

Had Enough. My wife is going to go on Facebook and run them into the ground and I'm SERIOUSLY thinking about joining just to give them hell till I get a new one. Don't want this "fixed" . I want a new one.

I'm spreading the message far and wide. Frigidaire is a POS.

Well, the name "frigidaire" tells me they specialize in making things cold. You tale of woe is why I'm still cooking on a 35 year old stove.

Its called a " Warranty ". Take it in and get a refund, or don't you guys do that anymore with crap and just complain.

Yeah. Right. Just got off the phone with Lowe's. They can't take it back till Frigidaire issues and RTM, which means they can't fix it and THEN I get to return it and get a refund. But only if I wait till Friday and can't cook a meal.

damn im sorry my dude! I hate this stuff, I live in Boise area and ive lived in a few homes built by a company called Cory Barton, and let me tell you, it was NOTHING but problems from the plumbing being to shallow in the basements, to issues with the damn appliances!

Ive had several problems with Lowes ive given up on them.......

I hope your issue gets resolved, im not sure where you live but EVERYTHING is so damn expensive now, that # like this is BEYOND unacceptable

Material #? Its sh!t thats freaking expensive, and being able to cook a meal for yourself or your family is a pretty damn big deal.....especially if you have kids and a life.

Youre off base on this one my guy, or I take it youve never really owned a home and had to deal with stuff breaking down, its NOT cheap

A non-functioning stove is not keeping you from making a meal. Grills, Campstoves, Microwaves,backyard fire, and if need be "Manifold Destiny" how to cook on your car engine while driving...that book has recipes too.

After our flat was renovated after a water damage I got a brand new kitchen and new appliances, among them an induction stove. I am so short drilling a hole into my bathroom and put a gas bottle there to have my gas cooker back.

If you have the original Lowe's receipt, you can just take it back and they will either exchange it or give you your money back. That's what the return policy says. Whoever told you that you could not return it is not telling you the truth. Roll up, unload, take it to the counter, show your receipt and take it from there.

Yes, it's a pain. And I agree, when you spend a certain amount of money, you'd expect the appliance to work.

Apparently you don't get it. Maybe you don't own a home and realize what it takes to keep it going. You don't get to just call the landlord and say "This or that doesn't work". You pay it out of your own pocket. You mow your own lawn, you fix your own plumbing, wire your own lights. You don't expect some one else to take care of you.
