first this "gospel of judas" is at this time a pure work of FICTION (MADE UP).
to use it as a source to determine if he was a hero, devil, sinner, or a one eyed one horn flying purple people eater is worthless.
the only accepted and (loosely) proven source about judas is THE BIBLE

I think you're misunderstanding the Gospel of Judas.
Judas wasn't "the chosen one" as in the Messiah who will return.
Judas was "the chosen one" of the disciples to fulfill Jesus' prophecy that one of his disciples would turn him in to the Romans.
The idea being that it was a necessary act for salvation to occur, thus making Judas a hero instead of a villain.

Ahh..but it says he will LEAD THE WAY. No? And you are saying the Gospel doesn't.
It doesn't use the word "Messiah" in the video. Messiah so ingrained in movies, books, culture, it's retarded.
I personally don't like it....but without a leader to show us the way, we'll be like chickens running around wiht our head cut off...like now.

No you're way off the mark I'm afraid.
oh such a response.. so fact lacking and no counterpoint should be shown in debate 101 class as what NOT TO DO..
so i took just one cherry picked item you chose at random to show how anti religious using an out of context post you are
your quote
How Christ described the evil one
The he "bound a woman for 18 years", Luke 13:16.
now the whole information and context
Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”
15 The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? 16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”
17 When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
not only was this NOT ABOUT THE EVIL ONE but jesus chastising the rabbis (religious leaders) who claimed he was doing wrong / not honoring the sabbath .
he showed that they CHERRY PICKED a law and IGNORED CONTEXT to claim he was not following rabbinic law/ law of moses.
hmm wonder who this sounds like (check your mirror for the answer).
then jesus used THE WHOLE SITUATION/FACTS to show they were WRONG AND IGNORANT.
unlike you they backed down in shame (well at least on that issue).
now that was just ONE RANDOM PASSAGE you wrote and with .025 sec google search for the WHOLE PASSAGE and at most one minute to compare your claim to the facts.. DISPROVED your rant/ proved you cherry picked with no context.
I could do more but i think one is enough to show your true colors without (as some people say) "bearding the lion"
scrounger
PS for accuracy yes the evil one TRICKED woman in the garden of eden and "bound her" with original sin and "feminine" problems as punishment for disobeying God.
but that is ORIGIONAL SIN that both MAN AND WOMAN and without cherry picking the same verses showed what MANS PUNISHMENT was.
but Jesus came to wipe that original sin away by his sacrifice..
but that was not your point or goal now was it.. just "happened" to be some accuracy in it.

Your understanding of the Bible is a cherrypicked interpretation construed from cherry pickings you might say.

Earlier in the gospel, Jesus tells Judas his star has led him astray.
Its not a reference to Judas, it's a reference to faith.
We both watch the same video 30 second video clip and have different interpretations? His star/soul will lead the way. Though perhaps Jesus did not use the word SOUL as it had no meaning back then to the people of that area. STAR = SOUL in this context. But Judas can't see the benefit, he will only know suffering. Because he doesn't have the power of FORESIGHT in that life (as Judas).
Not sure when the word "SOUL" or similar concept appeared in Asia vs Middle East.
Yes, the allusion is that Judas will suffer for turning Jesus in, as well as in future lives, if one went further.
As for faith...I'm making a post about that right now. The gift that keeps giving.
