This is so out of how things are here.. The safest city in my country, yet this...

Bare in mind it is reddit, where fools fear where angels tread.

But holy buckets, *kapow* mind blown... they've certainly trained the sheep well..

Are any of you so afraid of getting the coof that it changes how you live your life? Asking for science.

It's changed my life about 98%; not out of fear, but for survival. Sans not going where crowds are, not a lot else has changed. Life is good.

Not even remotely. I caught it this year. My first time. Actually a good chunk of people I know caught it for the first time this year. We’re all fine. If I didn’t test for my free 7 days off, I wouldn’t of known it was Covid. I wouldn’t of tested, but who’s going to pass up 7 paid days that don’t eat up sick days or vacation.

On to Reddit. They have some great pages. r/askamechanic, r/askIT, and things of that such. On the other hand. I’d peg Reddit at at least 90% of its users believe anything printed on a newspaper.

Honestly youve got a higher risk of dying from a form of cancer or diabetes if you live in the US, proper nutrition and adequate exercise will cure most anything else.

I work in home remodeling industry and guess what? Ive been working my job unimpeded since this whole kerfuffle began. I got caught the covid however drinking in the shop with friends. Havent had issues since.

I haven’t. Especially the initial outbreak. Almost every job site closed down. Every government funded one did. After it calmed down like a year later all someone had to do was claim they had Covid and the job site was quarantined for 2 weeks. It was horrible.

I always avoided crowds so that didn't change. I still do small groups and family stuff without thinking about it so I suppose there hasn't really been a change for me.

Your wife must be Chinese ?
They send you to another room after the romance has hit the ceiling of the marriage.

fear in the media will just push this thing further...

We were getting back to normal... then the next phase... war in Ukraine...

Now the covid is coming back "because we're not testing as much"...

Do people realize that the rapid test is a test for antibodies... which means any infection, any cold or flu, or covid will register as "covid" or just "infected"... so... FEAR!

Be afraid of the infected!!

Megatron Variant is coming...............

In my tiny tourist town I get these questions daily. How bad is Covid here?? I honestly don't know I'm not in the medical profession per say. We get people who get sick and don't with the Vid. I know people who have passed and those who made it through. And that's locally, I have no idea what happens to passersby coming through town and may or may not take # home and then get ill and something happens. It's not my business tbh, I'm more or less a realist and things like this will happen regardless, its a risk as it had always been with people living their lives.

That's the worst part... You can get covid, but you don't necessarily get the disease. Everyone forgets that part. Like stubbing your toe, you don't always need it amputated from gangrene.

Stats matter though. As long as there are stats, there will be people willing to fall hook, line and sinker into covid trap.

I walk to the shops. I see people, no one else around, wearing a mask. Blimey. How frightened has the MSM made so many people.... It's just insanity.

Megatron variant. I can honestly see that, people are so weak minded these days. Only us nerds will be left. well I say us... I mean me, probably, and a shed full of baked beans, a fire pit and all the trees I can harvest. Starting with the dead wood, of course.

We all pass over that bridge, no questions asked. Not if we want to, or ready to. It just is what it is.

But the fear before us, has to be questioned, if you ask me. The 'science' is a lawyers code these days, and the 'lawyers' wear medical outfits. One must be wary, even a simple test message and ruin your life..... let alone someone you are meant to trust.

I have liver cancer, I don't really care... the cliff is before me. No jabs to facilitate the result. Just a few more beers, and ... who knows. I won't see the world end. thank christ for that.

As one travels in the past, the current light of life shines.
It is one to treasure that memories of the past with a happy heart of the future.

No. Not any more than it has to.

Husband still does most of the shopping, but at this point, it's because he's at home and I'm in the office and on the weekends, I need to recharge so I avoid going out as much as possible.

However, we are planning a vacation this June hopefully. Getting away for a week. Looking at Louisiana.

Then you've already let them win.

But, I understand.
