If we assume it really was an alien spacecraft, why would =IT= have responded to the 'buzz', and then pick the one hour that the grownups were all inside the school?

They probably didn’t want the experience tainted by "grownups”

Since one thing they may have learned is there aren't really too many grownups among grownups in this modern civilization or world.

The Ariel School Incident is one of those incidents that seems to have become flavour of the month in the present decade.

But ultimately it rests heavily on the testimony from what a bunch of kids saw in September 1994 during school breaktime. I went to the earliest report I could find in UFO AFRINEWS 11 Feb 1995.

The teachers were all in a meeting. The only other adult was Alyson Kirkman running the school tuckshop. Excitable children ran inside it to tell her of a 'small man running around with a band around his head and one-piece suit'. Her child FIfi later reported a white object that later became golden had landed about 100m from where they were. Other children saw " ..one large object and two or three smaller ones". Reports seemed to become more expansive about aliens and telepathic 'environmental' messages once the American John Mack showed up.

There are accusations that the children were interviewed in groups. Thus allowing their stories to be cross contaminated. And also of them being led by their interviewers. Who were both leaning on an ET explanation. It is also a fact that a few days earlier on 14th September 1994, a UFO streaked across the sky over Southern Africa (now identified as a re-entry of the Cosmos 2290 satellite rocket burning up in the atmosphere). The pictures drawn are not always shown, as some are completely different . One child said she thought the small man was a gardener. With one picture resembling a hippie looking rastafarian type character.



Maybe the kids are all lying to this day because they don't want to admit they overreacted to seeing an unusual looking human being? Or maybe they really did see something unexplainable? Something must have triggered the children initially. We haven't really much hard evidence to say either way on this one.

As to the sightings in the UK during the 1970s, that was during a 'golden age' of UFO sightings that have never really been explained either. From the mysterious choppers in 73/74 to the Bob Taylor Incident in late 79. But it was also an age where hard evidence evaded us. Which it still does to this day.

and if somethign in nature is actually there, and doesn't want to be understood,

I don't see ANY good cases since the golden age of UFOs or earlier,
except for a handful I know of, that were not publicized.

It's a wonderfully interesting case but I wonder what all this really was. I keep seeing aliens bantered about as though no other explanations exist. I'm curious, who would have such a vested interest in our planet and ourselves?

For almost 30 years now I have never forgotten the story my 4 year old daughter told me when I got home from hospital. We lived not more then 18km from that school where the kids had that encounter. The night before I got home from hospital my daughter had an encounter with 3 ETs. She told me in detail everything that that happened in my bedroom between herself and the little funny men, as she had called them. She was laying in bed and was woken up by this really crazy bright light shining through the bedroom window. The 3 little men came through the closed window, so basically through the glass. Made friends with her immediately, so she was not afraid at all and started asking her so many questions about so many things, she told me she thought they were stupid because they seemed to know nothing.. She also told me that they did not talk out loud and they were talking just by thinking. Her dad slept through all this even though they touched him a few times.

Two days later as I was setting watching the news on TV this story about the UFO encounter at the school was being broadcast.. I didn't know what to do with this information my 4 year old daughter shared with me and still until today I don't know what to do with it.. She's 32 years old now and still jokingly says that she's still waiting for them to come back for her.
