I found his comment odd as he's part of the 'entitled generation' himself owing to the fact that he didn't live during WW2 which was the last time US citizens had to make due with less.

They begin to believe they are not regular humans and the ones not in their club are disposable and they’re not like them.

I don't know if it's all that but it's particularly tone deaf.

America and the "west" yes had it good. But for the most part the rest of the world wasn't in such good shape.

But, I'd say mellenials, if that's who is referring to, haven't had such an easy ride for the most part, most of them started off in the job market around 2008, and them by time they've established a career, a pandemic hit, now this.

Housing shortage is the big one. We have about 200 apartments n our area. During covid someone from Chicago bought them all and doubled the rent. Well people didn't have to pay anyway. Now everyone's getting evicted or their rent is going up again. The city now requires a short term rental inspection and permit of $300 per year. So they are cashing in . Working man lives in the campground that just raised their monthly fee.

I certainly wouldn't call out generation entitled. We work hard and are often qualified for more than we do My household income is upper middle class and we still have trouble affording things like housing. Not to turn this into a generational war, but older generations have been, on average, able to afford housing, reliable transportation, schooling, good food, and the enjoyment of a few hobbies. When Millennials or younger want to enjoy a similar way of life we get called entitled.

For reference, to save money and invest for retirement, we eat lots of beans and rice. I know many younger people that do the same out of choice or necessity. Truly, this man is out of touch with reality.

The president of the world's largest asset management company talking about entitlement:

"This generation has to go with out, so that I can have more, put on your seat belts"

You know who faces the guillotine when too many are asked to sacrifice? "Put on your seat belts" is right Mr Kapito.

This is how I know todays left is a faux movement, because instead of focusing their criticisms on oligarchs like this guy, they focus on attacking undereducated working-class people.
