This story is a few weeks old but I have not noticed a Thread covering it on ATS and I wanted to touch on a few things concerning the Story .

Firstly My heart goes out to his family it is devastating to lose a son , but to lose him to military training I'm sure they have many unanswered questions .

What concerns me though is this , The Left Media is jumping on this story as a chance to say ' SEAL ' training is to hard and dangerous , and they will seize this opportunity to Water down the training . Everywhere I turn I'm hearing about these ridiculous changes in Military training and policy .

For example .
Coed Marine Boot camp
Coed Ranger School
Military Officers are receiving woke sensitivity training and so are Non-Commissioned Officers.
Female Infantry Officers
Constant talks of Females attending Special operations Selections
Dis-Honorable Discharges for those refusing the Vaccine .
and on and on the list goes .

These are Blatant attempts to destroy the Finest Military on earth , and now Navy Seal training will the next one on the Woke list to be softened up.

Lets talk about 'BUDs' aka Basic Underwater Demolition School aka Navy SEAL Selection , Every man who goes through this training volunteers for it and knows full well what lay ahead. This Selection is 6 months in total , consisting of 3 phases the first phase is a Gut Check purely physical this includes " hell week " , Phase two is the water phase drown proofing and basic scuba and water competency training , Phase three is the land warfare phase , after all of that which is six months if you pass you then go through SQT ' SEAL qualification training and upon completion of SQT then you receive your Trident and can call yourself a Navy SEAL.

Young Kyle Mullen died just after Phase one the end of Hell Week which is undoubtedly the hardest part of the training , Again I empathize but to be honest it is an absolute miracle that more people do not die during this training . This training is of the upmost intensity it pushes you to the very brink of death , it is designed to ensure you can handle yourself in War.

And not one damn part of this training should be softened up , the SEAL program is meant to create Warriors end of story and to be a Warrior is in and of itself linked to a likely violent Death .

thank you for your time and Input

This happens every so often. It's hard on everyone involved. No one wants to lose a recruit during training. For all the mitigation available to keep recruits safe, death can always occur.

We had a soldier, a captain, get run over by a tank in his sleep at an NTC rotation. # happens during training. It's unfortunate, but it's a fact of life in the military. The job is inherently dangerous without the incoming fire.

SEAL training is not a joke and it is meant to train you for the hell that is killing and dying in combat.

No one in the teams or any other SOF group gives a damn what these pansies who sit in air conditioned offices pretending to understand the world believes is "too hard."

Makes me wonder if it has anything to do with them being vaxxed.
It’s hard on the heart.
If it is, I hope it comes out as such and not hidden.

The way I understand it according to his mother and reports form his instructors he had the opportunity to ring out.
According to his mother, he was feeling bad and they wouldn't let him go on sick call unless he rang the bell, he didn't want to.
She thinks he died from SIPE, which he had been treated twice for in January. And she said that hIs or a commanding officer said they offered him treatment twice but he refused.

Here is a article that says the same as as the news I saw this morning couldn't find that one.
Mom of Navy SEAL candidate who died after 'hell week' says tragedy could have been prevented

I'm of a mind that both he and the Navy are at fault, Him for not giving up knowing something was wrong, and more than likely knew it was the same thing as he was treated for, and didn't want to take the chance of not qualifying and having to wait another 2 years to try again. Or find out that he has something that causes him to suffer form SIPE and be disqualified.

The Navy for not pulling him when they saw he was suffering the same symptoms as before, offered help not once but twice. The second time knowing his history from January they should have ignored his wants and pulled him.

They did the same thing with Marine Corps basic training after about 2000, it really pissed a lot of us off, there was a reason our training was so hard and grueling....it was suppose to make Marines.....

Im not begrudging any Marines that have come after, but its very much watered down

I hate to say this about another fellow belleau woodsman but, I hope the first asshole that gets clipped in combat is wearing a care bear tshirt as a skivvy in pink socks. It’s the only way the rest of the herd will understand.

Perhaps later I shall start a USMC group therapy thread where we can reminisce about the old corps when everyone was always angry, intolerant, and loud and violent.
