‘With minimal intelligence in command or soldiers, these consequences could have been avoided.’

Why is digging in the red forest a big deal?

The trees died from this radiation. The explosion and fire at the Chernobyl No. 4 reactor contaminated the soil, water and atmosphere with radioactive material equivalent to that of 20 times the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.[4]

I think this highlights the attitude of the Russian military, and how little Putin and his advisors have for human life and the reality of the consequences of their actions. And the Russian military intruding (for a lack of a better term) into things that have no lawful military objective.


I think it also highlights the reality of “labs” still dealing with the environmental disasters and potential disasters from the USSR.

Great minds think alike or birds of a feather flock together...



I just can't see the Russian Military being so inept as they seem to be, and this would be another blunder. Almost to the point where I begin to question if America doesn't have a real Cardinal in the Kremlin. Or did we or some entity just bribe his leaders and it's why NATO looks so sure-footed and Russia looks like it's stumbling along?
