Looking at wall e, where people did no physical activity, they were taken on their chairs to get food, entertainment. Pretty much a lazy society.
Sort of like today where most people are working from home, order food online that’s bought to them, no need to leave home and watch a movie with
all the streaming options, where people probably don’t dont do hobbies, or socialise as much now.
I know alot of people hate Disney, though maybe bit was a comment on where we are going. m.youtube.com...

Think about it this way...a few companies own everything, they pay taxes, taxes pay UBI. How long will it be before they just stop paying UBI?.Why pay
for people who are not producing?
At least my underground bunker on has so much room..
The future is transhumanism and more like the Matrix.
....but before that the coming thirties could be like Wall E.
Until AI decides that humans actually serve to keep the machines going

Must be right ! as a nurse i have overweighted fellow nurses who are so often in sick leave mostly joints. I hate that as it means my workload gets
worse. The lack of nurses means even how bad condition someone is, he gets hired... i know i am just getting this out of my chest .. i had a awful day
today at work
Funny you ask. I took my kids to see this when they were little and it was first out in the theaters. Even back then it occurred to me that this is
how humanity will turn out.
I don't think it's prophetic. There were books written in the past I believe one of them by Asimov, about humanity becoming so lazy, they became
advanced enough that robots take care of them and practically doing all the physical work and labor. Society could sit back and relax and never worry
about anything, even the basics like food. Eventually the robots were seen as gods. It's been a long time since I read it but that was the general
idea. Disney's version was that they became fat and obese and tide to a chair, versus the books was having to do but humanity's basic needs including
money was no longer needed. They could invest in their personal needs and wants but energy, manual labor, work etc eliminated.
I'm a big movie watcher and mostly stream and that's mostly due to the location where I'm at that I don't know anybody locally to go see a movie with.
However, I will go out and watch a movie to support them if I believe it's worth my money. I My side hobby is home theater and audio and invest into
it with massive tv/latest tech and always upgrade the receiver or some part of my home theater system and prefer physical media films due the quality
being better than a high quality stream. The box office is not being kept competitive, which is making customers not go out to theaters, plus the home
theater systems for homes has advanced well enough that a person can buy a very basic one and be passable or invest really good money and get better
system than a movie theater or even rival it.
But I have a lot of friends in different states that are big movie watchers and they make it a point to take themselves or their family to go watch
films. So the market is still there. When it comes to things like door dash and food delivery, that's just a natural advancement of society. I think
any person with common sense would not buy a $8 meal and then pay 10 plus dollars + extra to have it delivered. I'm 36, and from my point of view
every single person I know out of the state or even out of the country still has their own hobbies that they leave the house for.
Nothing's really changed if anything there's just more options for the introverted. Everyone I know still goes out and does their own thing. In terms
of socializing I think it varies per person and per generation. When I visited my aunt in Florida and was living there for about a yea. I noticed a
lot of people didn't go outside their homes, unless they were getting in the car. A lot of the socializing there was done through knowing others who
arrange get together or at a bar at least in West Palm. I noticed a lot there knew each other and were sort of like a small little group.
Then when I go visit my friend in Rochester NY, NJ, Kansas or the mid west people are outside having beer and socializing in their driveway with
friends on weekends. Random people would just walk up and just speak to you out of the blue if they lived in the neighborhood. I saw this pattern in
multiple neighborhoods. Even the bar atmosphere was more friendly and outgoing people were less reserved more willing to speak to strangers. I think
most of it depends on the location and the community.
I think it was more of a parody as many in the west have become obese but not so much from over consumption as from the crap that corporations have
put into our food's a slope to destruction that began in the 80's in the UK but earlier in the US with the removal of regulations meant to protect the
public from harm and the allowing of the use of extremely dangerous chemicals, steroid's and other substances for Cattle and other livestock as well
as pesticides and other chemicals on food crop's and also cheap ALTERNATIVE ingredients AKA Chemicals and so called flavour enhancers in food's.
As for Wall E I actually think that was a jibe at WALL Mart and the ship was basically a flying live in supermarket.
BUT often in the past when discussing the possibility of previous civilization's that may have come and gone on our world we have been met by the
sceptics with the argument WERE ARE THE RUBBISH TIPS.
Well in fact they may be right were they have been all along scattered all over the world.
Now these are not directly related to your main topic but are on this very interesting tangent to it and if it is right then someone may have faced
the same problems we are today and overcome them in the past, of course there civilization may have been very different to ours and for a long time
after it's fall maybe priestly (Scientists) classes maintained some knowledge before it faded completely away but a very long time ago indeed if
correct.
This Next one is interesting, DO NOT BUY THE OFFICIAL STORY about them being a cancelled then buried project that is a load of rubbish, look at the
writing on them it is nothing like our MODERN languages though a few Asian languages bear a superficial resemblance only and don't buy that rubbish
about them being alien either they were left by a previous human civilization, there was a similar story of a guy in the desert also in the US digging
up something when he saw a piece of machinery sticking out of the ground only to reveal something that looked like either a Giant in technological
armour or a huge humanoid robot of some kind (having seen the artistic impression made by the guy who had an artist draw up what he saw I believe it
was an industrial probably a building machine and not a weapon system though it would make sense for a heavily armoured device to last longer) buried
for who knows how long but there are of course Satellites that pick EVERYTHING up and it was taken in the night after he revealed it, should have used
a Tarp but of course he had no idea that someone in some satellite control station somewhere was watching and spying on there own desert, probably in
some corporations hand's now and all so they can reverse engineer the hell out of it too keep some societal maggot in his money pit.
You see the way it work's is that you are TOLD that something is a fact and are meant to them CONFORM and BELIEVE this as the truth, if it is the
truth all is fair but often this knowledge is merely theory, idea or BELIEF of other's rather than factual undeniable truth.
So don't worry we are unlikely to be living in a world so overcome with litter and rubbish as that of the Wall E cartoon, that too is just someone's
allegorical moral tale based on there humour and belief's but it may be a good lesson to teach children so that our civilization which is really only
at it's beginning may yet come to a time when we clean up our world, dig up our landfill's and recycle or properly dispose of the waste of our
civilization and even re-seed our cleaned up oceans.
BUT our main purpose is to seed OTHER World's that is the sole real reason for sentience, we are seed's and the tree has fruited, we have to leave
some day to reach other planets and other stars to make NEW world's, NEW EARTH's so that the life form that we call the earth will have it's children,
we just have to get rid of the parasites that are keeping us down and denying us clean energy technology's, better food production techniques and
cures for diseases such as Cancer because while they keep us down our world will also suffer with us and they will only get richer like the societal
maggots they are.
