Stars. We should be able to see who starred a post.

Naming and displaying who starred posts will only promote reciprocal starring of posts and not starring people who don't star etc.

Its not broken, so why fix it?

Anyone who's been here more than a nanosecond already pretty much knows who stars who. It's that predictable.

Such a strange obsession…

Do people HONESTLY care about stars?

Yes. In fact, I cry myself to sleep when I don't get more than 8 stars on every post. This is why my life is a miserable living hell. I JUST WANT TO BE A SUPERSTAR!

scuse me, let me see my way out. I need a sky to scream at.

Funny part is, the OP is obsessed with stars. He made this thread as a way of whining about the fact that my responses to him were getting stars but his responses weren’t.

Really seems to eat at him.

He hehe. You're not very good at telling peoples true intentions. I've bet you've been robbed or scammed before?

True enough, but that's all the more reason they should have a name attached. Just for the giggles really.

I want to know who is starring what posts

I want to know why you feel what posts I choose to star is really any of your business?

Mmmhmmm. It’s just a coincidence that you started this thread directly after whining about me getting more stars than you and accusing me of starring my own posts.

Seems legit my dude. Seems legit.

If you are just wanting to argue and drag people in the mud for not having a clue how to uphold a legitimate online message forum... there is debate forums. Just message a mod. They will help you in-between battling Russian "hackers" and scarfing down unnatural amounts of mountain dew and hot pockets.

Simply because it is a feature members only can use. Why shouldn't the person getting star or even just a random nobody, See who? Why is that such an invasion of privacy?

Take the example which Knots speaks of, We were in a thread occupying pages almost completely uninterrupted by other posters, Over the course of a few hours. Their post would routinely a few moments after being displayed receive a star.

Why should this lone star giver who decided to endorse their sentiment, by giving a star. Follow the conversation they were not a part of for hours on end even. Perhaps I would have urged them to join the conversation themselves. Breath new life into it. For a person like that why have an account? Just to give stars not actually join in? We should be able to see who it is.

Also, It's just bizarre how this phenomena occurs only with posters who carry a certain specific view of things. It should make you curious. If you're too afraid to stand behind your position by letting people know who you starred. Then maybe you shouldn't even post anything? Or have an account for that matter..

Not sure who you are replying to, I assume me? Though I don't recall mentioning Russian "hackers". So maybe not me.
edit on 31-3-2022 by InvitationIsland because: Don't like mountain dew either.

If you're referring to the Disney thread I was starring him (among others people since he had more than mine). Feel better now? Does my overall account participation level merit star distribution?
