"threatened responsibility for acts of propaganda"

I don't know if a lot of you guys are familiar with the site infoshop.org, but it looks like it is the next in line for subjugation. They have run a good site now for a long time and has been an excellent resource for both news and commentaries, and now, like indymedia several months ago, they are apprently under investigation by the FBI for (get this) "threatened responsibility for acts of propaganda by the deed" while being told not to discuss it. A statement from the owner here...

Perhaps the whole anarchist image of theirs is a little overboard, but since when is propoganda illegal? Is this the kickoff of a whole new ball game here? How long before what we are doing ehre on ATS is going to be considered propoganda? I think Roger Waters said it best.. "Welcome to the Machine."

FBI Demands Logs From Radical Website

The details are as yet unclear due to a gag order, but apparently the FBI is once again demanding IP logs from dissident webservers.
The sysadmin for flag.blackened.net, best known for hosting infoshop.org and the Anarchist FAQ has responded to an FBI request for server logs.
Although he cannot reveal the details of the request due to the gag order, the sysadmin has issued an informal press release discussing his reasons for turning over the information.

Without knowing what they are alleging, it is hard to tell, but we all know that the words on this and other "power to the people" boards are closely monitored and censored to a degree...

whatever happened to the days that the US was "percieved" as so nice, that the administrations/officials would just ignore critism?

guess someone was getting to close to the truth, if you ask me.
too bad our "FBI protectors" see fit to protect the bad guys (bad government) instead of us...
