Hello anyone who takes the time to read this!

I have been an ats reader since 03/04 and made this account some years back. After years of not being able to remember my username and password, I came across a post it note while going through some old paperwork that had my ats login information on it. I couldn't believe it! I was even more shocked when it actually worked and I was able to log in! I had made another account in 2020 to post in the Corona Virus Updates threads but I can't get into that one now for some reason. Google says it's not supported. Oh well though.

Anyway, I figured I'd make an introduction thread and try to be more of an active poster now. Ats going down for days made me appreciate this place a lot more. I didn't consciously know how much I cared about this being part of my daily routine until I found myself searching the internet all night long trying to find answers when it was down. Thankfully I found the ats discord and was able to lurk there for information and entertainment during the dark period. It's good to know that everyone here rallies together for alternative meeting places. If ats truly goes down one day, I find it comforting that the community will live on somewhere.

Welp, I guess my name is ucantcme, no idea why. You'd have to ask teenage me. But I am very happy to be here and I appreciate everyone and all that you do here!

I actually stooped so low as to visit r/conspiracy on Reddit. I am not proud of it.. Halfway through some crazy post about Jim Carrey being a serial killer at 4am, I realized I have a problem lol!

It's not that I believe them all perse, but they are entertaining to read pretty much I began in the 70's reading about all the JFK theories. It can't be them all, but the Oswald background and Ruby's FTM seemed a bit hinky to my younger self. Still do.

I have always thought that the more "out there" conspiracy theories are spread to discredit the ones that have factual evidence and are most likely true conspiracies. But both are good reads for me, just in different ways.

Well, then Welcome. and better late than never.
I think ATS being offline for those few, LONG days made us realize what we have here.

I hope we don't forget that as the outage sinks into our past.

I hope to see more of your posts, and consider:

Welcome back to the party! ICU now. I had the same/similar issue with Google and recently had to create a new acct...this time using email/password.

Many of us, myself included had anxiety attacks during the days of darkness, which I'm now taking as foreshadowing of things to come in near future. Not so much regards to ATS, but life in general. I don't think very many had rallying places or any specific rallying comfort zone. I was unaware of the Discord channel. Many of us were floating around the ether wondering WTF just happened like a dog just been kicked to the curb. Oh well, sometimes that's life; live & learn.

Ok, back to work.

It did kind of feel like a type of foreshadowing to me too.

I hope you managed to track down the link for discord as a back up. The chat was very entertaining during the dark time and prevented any anxiety attacks. It also took me back to the days when ats had a chat!

Though I was down to my last thread of hope when I saw the message that it was back online. Nearly wept with relief. Some people on the discord server made forum backs ups as well for people to gather as an alternative, so I grabbed those links. I made an account at rougenation so I could read the ats thread there. I saw that Dashen had a website too but I didn't find a link for that one.

Hopefully ats never permanently goes dark but these backups feel like a kind of safety net. I'll just need to make sure I am saving any threads or posts I find important offline from now on.

Welcome back. I joined here in October 2012 to look for conspiracies about Camp Minden after after one of its ammo bunkers mysteriously exploded and nearly shattered every double paned storm window in my house 3 miles away. I drove to the entrance of Camp Minden right after that and saw smoldering. The Sheriff changed his story overnight and the government was out there the next morning, along with lots of State Troopers. Sometime in 2018, I suddenly couldn't login and had to create a new user name.

What just happened in NW Louisiana?

Hi There " ucantcme ", and welcome to the Introductions Forum, a place to say hello to the ATS community!

For now, you can reply to any thread in any of the forums of your choosing, as well as send & receive Private Messages (PM's) to Staff (only for now). Once you have achieved 5 posts, you will then be able to start your own threads and additionally send & receive messages to and from fellow ATS members.

Here's some handy links, important must read links (and more links).

Terms & Conditions Of Use (Please read, we take these very seriously and so should you!).

Start Here - ATS Freshmans Forum A cornocopia of almost every thing a new ATS Freshman would want under one roof.

Hey new members!! Come here if you need advice This section includes how to Contact Staff, make Alerts and help maintain the ATS Discussion Etiquette.

Starting a New Thread ?... Look Here First
Great information as we want your thread to get the visibility it deserves, so make sure you've got great content backed-up with links (so we can see it for ourselves), and then add your thoughts on the subject matter.

IMPORTANT: Using Content From Other Websites on ATS. Before you link a website in your post or thread, please read this.

How to upload an avatar/profile picture with instructions and so much more .

Uploading Pictures unto Post-2013 ATS, Serving up member's pictures and snapshots since the retooling of ATS back in 2013, and here's a little secret on your Picture uploads. Always make sure they 'end' with one of these three formats; jpg, gif, png... (a jpeg needs to be changed to .jpg to be accepted as only 3 letter formats are accepted).

Take your time and enjoy, ATS is a pretty large place

There's a lot of great spots to explore and share your comments in. Being this large it's safe to say that not everyone is going to agree with what you might say. And actually that's a good thing as this allows all voices, theories and ideas to come out for discussion.

But be aware that sometimes, people's conviction's can get the better of them and they might attack the person and not the subject being discussed. This is when the T&C's are your friend and on your side. Please notify us of 'their offense' immediately by using the complaint/alert feature. To report an offense, find the little "top-torso-person silhouette" to 'click-on' in their avatar/meme area, make sure the post that your wanting to alert us about is where you click 'that alert' from. These reports are reviewed by staff as we take all complaints and Alerts seriously.

Some areas will require a thicker-skin for discussion and debating and they can get rather heated (in certain arenas). Other areas require you having an open-mind and a need to consider thoughts and theories that don't fit the 'norm'. If you like to tip-toe in to darker areas, you'll find 'like-minded' and curious members that are also into UFO's, the Paranormal, Cryptids and Conspiracies.

There's also places to just chill and cool-down from all the craziness and frustrations of this wild world. Whether it's showing off your artwork in Member Art, or sharing a piece of music you like or created in the Music forum. Maybe you'd like to toss in your "2 Cents" in the General Chit Chat forum.

If you like to read (and compose) good stories, there's a few places for the "mighty fine creative minds" of ATS to hang out at.... including one my favorites the "Short Stories" forum.

And finally... remember these words as "you" are responsible for "your" posts, so please..... " Post unto others as you would have them post unto you!! "

Staff-Moderator.

Wow, that is an intense way to be introduced to conspiracies. My introduction to conspiracies was the 9/11 official story not adding up. It was a couple years after it happened that I fully started looking into it. I may have been young at the time but even I saw something was amiss. Back then, I watched this video that was pointing out multiple inconsistencies and some very suspicious circumstances. While I didn't fully believe anything presented I also couldn't rule some of it out either. It opened my eyes to a much darker world than my young and naive self ever dreamed existed. From there I researched confirmed conspiracies and then dove into the world of conspiracy theories. Have been here ever since!

Evidently your teenage self liked the idea of being invisible. For that matter, we still can't see you.

Yep, came across the Discord link from another thread yesterday.

I archive many of my posts at same time as I post them here. Now I'm looking into archiving methods (aside from the obvious that most utilize) for full pages & various threads.

One thing I keep in mind here is that this board is FREE, it's not big tech funded, so I don't expect all the bells & whistles and don't complain.
Don't ever say 'never' in this climate, might jinx the whole damn server.😅
Course, if the power grid goes down we'll all have bigger problems.

Seriously though...I feel like if something is going to go down in a "shtf" kind of way, it will be a major power outage. It's the easiest for the elites to control while completely screwing a large percentage of the population. Most who probably have little to no knowledge on how to be self-sufficient anymore. They'll still have power, we will not. It is a scary thought. Even just the internet going to down for any significant amount of time would cause a mass chaos in a lot of places.

I kind of think the world set itself up to fail by transitioning to a completely internet reliant society. Even if certain people who have control issues don't make some kind of move to screw over the little people, eventually an unavoidable natural disaster will significantly disrupt a digital system. It's really only a matter of time.
