I trust the family doctor I have had for over 15 years.

If you look at the data, it's not "war" that they want, it's action to be taken to protect Ukraine's right to self determination.

I only got the vax because I had dropped a decent chunk of change on a trip to NY with my girl. And after I had already spent the money, NY put their vaccine mandates into place. And even though I really wanted to forge a vax card, I didn't want to risk getting all the way there, and then being turned away. It really meant so much to my SO. It was lame. But if I had to drink some kool aid to give us an amazing time and memories, well that was a sacrifice I was willing to make.

As a side note.. A couple weeks after we got back, NY freakin' lifted the mandates... SMH...

I got vaccinated but never wanted war with Russia. In fact I believe if our leader really believed Russia was going to invade Ukraine without assurances, I thought he did a lousy job of avoiding war. I would have told Ukraine you need to make a deal that you will remain neutral or your country and infrastructure will be destroyed by Russia bombing the crap out of everything. Even if you don’t plan on staying neutral, just lie like Putin does. Going to war is a lose lose proposition for everyone. Obviously this diplomacy and deal never happened.

Maybe this thread should be called if you have been vaccinated, you must not want war because you use reason and logic.

I still do not want war and still think there are much better options than staying at war. Russia and Ukraine should declare a ceasefire with Russia withdrawing forces from Ukraine. I do not know what all the demands are on both sides so I don’t know how much room for compromise exists.
Seemed like the far left here in the US thinks the oil industry will die out in less than 10 years and everyone will be driving around in EV’s while Putin wants to revive the Soviet Union and get control of oil deposits in the Black Sea and shale oil in Ukraine plus water and land rights to Crimea.

Both sides are being stupid in my opinion. We need the oil industry and Ukraine has oil resources. There are also several oil resources in the Arctic ocean Russia could use but now the west will work on not using oil. It’s a big lose lose for everyone. Russia is at war with its biggest customers for its oil and gas products. It is the height of stupidity to anger your best customers that are talking about no longer using your product. Oil and gas that is. I believe the US should have approved the pipeline in the US and spur capital investment in more oil drilling but I see nothing much happening towards that. It’s a contest of stupid versus stupid. It’s all lose lose right now. What sane person wants that?

Side note. I believe both Russia and China see the oil and gas industry and resources as important resources for the future. Russia invaded Ukraine. China has been building military islands towards the South China Sea.
Meanwhile the left leaning groups in the West are in Lala land thinking all that oil and gas will stay in the ground and everyone will be driving around in EV’s in only 10 years or less. Could be true if technology advances make the cost of EV’s less expensive than gas cars. Right now total costs are cheaper with gas cars when you look at total costs. I read a study today that confirms that.
I’m hoping for a fast charging less expensive long range EV but it’s not here yet.

I also heard today Google cut ad funding to an environmental scientist that said the last 40 years of scientific data he was looking at indicate only a tiny rise in global temperatures per decade. That is not the alarmist fear story the far left wants so obviously google had to cut his funding.

Now we are closer than ever to a global nuclear war because of global stupidity.

On the bright side, if stupidity wins, global temperatures will drop to minus 20 degrees Celsius at the equator and minus 45 in the middle of North America and around the world on a regular daily basis restoring the ice sheets and ice cover across the whole planet. Global warming will no longer be an issue which the far left thinks is the biggest issue facing us today.
