To understand the symbols often represented in the prophecies in Daniel and Revelation and other prophets:
Mountains = Governments
Heavens = The Ruling Class
Earth = Subjects of said government
Sea = Radical/unstable elements of the wicked masses of humanity
Beasts = Nations
Take this example to help us see what the various beasts in Daniel and Revelation represent:
Now in Revelation there are two seven-headed wild beasts. Here is the first:
"And it stood still on the sand of the sea.
And I saw a wild beast ascending out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns ten diadems, but on its heads blasphemous names. Now
the wild beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were like those of a bear, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave to
the beast its power and its throne and great authority.
I saw that one of its heads seemed to have been fatally wounded, but its mortal wound had been healed, and all the earth followed the wild beast with
admiration. And they worshipped the dragon because it gave the authority to the wild beast, and they worshipped the wild beast with the words:
“Who is like the wild beast, and who can do battle with it?”
-Revelation 13:1-4.
This wild beast has 7 heads. Revelation 17:10 says: "And there are seven kings: Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet arrived; but
when he does arrive, he must remain a short while."
So the heads represent the ruling world powers that have had direct influence on God's people throughout Bible history and up into our day. When this
prophecy was written towards the end of the first century five kingdoms, or heads had already fallen, one was then existing, and one had yet to
arrive:
The world powers that had fallen at the time of the writing:
The world power then existing at the time of the writing:
6. Rome
The world power that had not yet arrived:
7. Anglo-America
Ten represents something complete in earthly respects. So the 10 horns on the 7 heads would represent all the nations ruling at the time of the
end.
Now we are living in the time of the 7th head of Bible prophecy of the fearsome wild beast in Revelation 13, which has elements of all the beasts of
Daniel 7. It is given two other names in Relation.
The first name the 7th head is given is: the wild beast with two horns:
"Then I saw another wild beast ascending out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, but it began speaking like a dragon. It exercises all
the authority of the first wild beast in its sight. And it makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first wild beast, whose mortal wound was
healed. And it performs great signs, even making fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the sight of mankind."-Revelation 13:11-13.
This wild beast has two horns, representing the close nature of the two nations that gained dominant control as the predominant world-power since
1914, Britain and the United Stats of America. It performed great signs, making fire come down from heaven to the earth in the sight of mankind,
during WWII when it dropped the atomic bombs on Japan.
This two-horned wild beast, the 7th head of the wild beast coming out of the sea, is the King of the South in Daniel 11, all throughout the last days
since 1914.
It is the feet mixed with iron and clay in Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel 2:
In the dream hands that were not human carved a rock out of the mountain and hurled it at the feet of the statute and pulverized it, completely
destroying it. This is God's kingdom government in heaven when it comes to wage war against all the nations of the earth. And in its place, the stone
turned into a mountain (=government) that covered the whole earth. Daniel said:
"“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any
other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever."-Daniel 2:44.
The feet of the statue is the Anglo-American world power in which we now live. The last head of the 7-headed wild beast of Revelation 13 is the
Anglo-American world power. The two-horned wild beast of Revelation 13:11-13 is the Anglo-American world power. It is referred to as the "false
prophet" in Revelation 16:13 and 19:20, there we read:
"And the wild beast was caught, and along with it the false prophet that performed in front of it the signs with which he misled those who received
the mark of the wild beast and those who worship its image. While still alive, they both were hurled into the fiery lake that burns with sulfur."
So both the wild beast, this is the scarlet colored one, that represents the United Nations, and all the ruling powers alive at that time, and the
false prophet, that is the Anglo-American world power are caught alive and thrown into the lake of fire, this means eternal destruction.
They are alive at Armageddon. That is the Anglo-American world power stands until Jesus comes and wages war against wicked humanity. And it along with
the United Nations, and all the kings of the earth, will be destroyed, just as the prophecy in Nebuchadnezzar's dream, where the stone cut from the
mountain will be hurled at the feet of the imagine, of clay and iron and crush it and completely destroy it:
"You looked on until a stone was cut out, not by hands, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and of clay and crushed them. At that time the
iron, the clay, the copper, the silver, and the gold were, all together, crushed and became like the chaff from the summer threshing floor, and the
wind carried them away so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a large mountain, and it filled the
whole earth."-Daniel 2:34-35.
Then God's kingdom government in Jesus' hands will set up a heavenly rule over the entire earth in which peace and righteousness is to dwell.
The king of the north of Daniel 11 is now the Russian Federation along with its allies. Bible prophecy says concerning him:
"“But reports out of the east and out of the north will disturb him, and he will go out in a great rage to annihilate and to devote many to
destruction. And he will plant his royal tents between the grand sea and the holy mountain of Decoration."
During the cold war, after WWII ended, the king of the north engaged with the king of the south in a pushing:
“In the time of the end the king of the south will engage with him in a pushing, and against him the king of the north will storm with chariots and
horsemen and many ships; and he will enter into the lands and sweep through like a flood. He will also enter into the land of the Decoration, and many
lands will be made to stumble. But these are the ones that will escape out of his hand: Eʹdom and Moʹab and the main part of the Amʹmon·ites. And
he will keep thrusting out his hand against the lands; and as regards the land of Egypt, she will not escape. And he will rule over the hidden
treasures of gold and silver and over all the desirable things of Egypt. And the Libʹy·ans and the E·thi·oʹpi·ans will be at his steps."-Daniel
11:40-43.
For a full explanation of this propehcy and its fulfillment during the Cold War years between the Anglo-American world power and the U. S. S. R. see
the links above.
At the very end of the last days the king of the north, which has now been identified as the Russian Federation and its allies will set out on an all
out attack on Jehovah's servants on earth. This will lead to God's intervention. And he will come all the way to his end:
"And he will plant his royal tents between the grand sea and the holy mountain of Decoration; and he will come all the way to his end, and there will
be no helper for him."-Daniel 11:45.
So the Russian Federation and its allies, the king of the north, will meet the same fate as the king of the south, when they face God's angelic forces
in the switfly approaching battle of Armageddon.
Daniel 12:1 says:
“During that time Miʹcha·el will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of your people. And there will occur a time of distress such
as has not occurred since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, everyone who is found written down
in the book."
The start of the coming "great tribulation" will be a unique worldwide cry from the world's political, and perhaps religious leaders of "peace and
security":
"For you yourselves know very well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and
security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them, just like birth pains on a pregnant woman, and they will by no means escape. "-1
Thessolians 5:2-3.

I really, really disliked having my front porch littered with The Watchtower. Overzealous proselytizing is a real turnoff.
Maybe some Mormon missionaries can add some stuff to this from their writings. The Krishnas probably don't give a rip what happens, but they might
have something to say on this as well. Islam doesn't go out and do mission work, they just kill you if you don't convert.

If you get a bible from JW's or someone else, the scriptures are still valid. Now they or anyone can still misinterpret things to suit their own
desires, or what they perceive to be their own gain, and people do this when they become over zealous. I'm not seeing anything like that here. Every
individual if they are actually interested, should read and understand for themselves.
Its just your basic conflict myth, a bit of propaganda thrown in.
One common myth found in nearly all Indo-European mythologies is a battle ending with a hero or god slaying a serpent or dragon of some
sort. Although the details of the story often vary widely, several features remain remarkably the same in all iterations. The protagonist of the
story is usually a thunder-god, or a hero somehow associated with thunder
Happens every year in those parts around autumn when the rains come, freeing the waters, although the older version is about creation.
The primeval conflict myth is a staple of Greek, Hittite, Canaanite, Babylonian, and even Hindu myth, and the Canaanite version appears throughout
the OT and even turns up in the Christian apocalypse of Revelation. This post will survey the literary evidence of the myth in the Bible and in
ancient literature.

Daniel 11:35-41 As it is written, word for word.
And a few of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, to purge, and to make white, to the time of the end.because it is yet for a time
appointed.
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every el(God) and shall speak marvelous things
against the El(God) of elim(Jesus) and shall prosper til the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
Neither shall he regard, the Elohim(God) of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any eloah(?) for he shall magnify himself above all.
But in his estate shall he honor, the Eloah(?) of forces and an eloah(?) of whom his fathers knew not shall he honor with gold, and silver, and
precious stones, and pleasant things.
Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange eloah(?) whom he shall acknowledge, increase with glory, and he shall cause them to rule over
many. And shall divide the land for gain.
And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots
and with horseman, and with many ships and he shall enter into the lands, and shall overflow and passover.
He shall enter also into the glorious land and many shall be overthrown, but these shall escape out of his hand, Edom and Moav and the chief of the
children of Ammon.

Well I thought it was a good read....thanks op.
I'm curious of your opinion on the rapture occuring before the tribulation?
I've heard it taught that way.
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall
from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will
beat themselves in grief, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his
angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other
extremity."-Matthew 24:29-31.
