This is exactly the reason I'm so freedom oriented. We're all idiots, including those in power. The only fair way to let idiots live their lives is to let them make their own choices. A nanny state is only idiots making choices for idiots and it only creates more suffering.

On the off chance someone rubs two brain cells together and gets ahead, the rest of us should have the freedom to follow their example.
