www.kktv.com...When I saw this today I thought this might be the only thing they do that actually makes any sense and has been a longtime coming:

WASHINGTON (Gray News) - The U.S. Senate approved a bill that will make daylight saving time permanent.

The Senate unanimously voted on Tuesday in favor of the Sunshine Protection Act, according to The Hill. The bill would end the time change from daylight saving time to standard time, meaning Americans would no longer have to change their clocks twice a year.

Sen. Marco Rubio and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse both tweeted on Tuesday about the bill’s approval.

The bill still needs to be approved by the House of Representatives before it can be signed into law.

Daylight saving time resumed on Sunday as many Americans set their clocks one hour ahead. Standard time will resume in November 2022. Reuters reported if the bill is signed into law, the change would not take place until November 2023.

According to an Associated Press poll, most Americans want to stop switching between daylight saving and standard time, but are divided on which should be used all year.

As much as I support this, there are bigger f***ing problems they should be addressing for our country

LOL. I actually thought yesterday that we should have gotten rid of this years ago, it's stupid. Finally, some Congressional legislation I can support.

It is stupid and I agree, it's just the wrong focus.

But I suppose if this brings even a modicum of commonality among the people then it's a good thing.

And if they continue to focus on things of this nature it's less time for them to screw something else up.

I would love to just turn the clocks back one hour every November forever. Plus it's better than more taxes and spending.

Watch this turn out like the year 1999-2000 software crisis where everyone thinks everything is going to crash.

Explains why the clock on ATS runs 1h into the future for me since a few days. I checked my timezone setting it's correct.

Feels like ATS server is generously adding an hour for everyone since then? Anyone else? Will cheat now and set it to a timezone in the future. Problem will resurface for me when our own time is set to summer time soon and again for winter time.

I’ve been saying this for years to people that are against it... day light savings hours would be fine.

If only they’d just frickin leave it that way all year round!

yeah, because changing a clock is so very difficult...

Nothing like important issues.

Better than more spending of money that the govt. doesn't have--so it's got that going for it.
