I've been saying for a while now that world governments will eventually start to interfere with cryptocurrency.
Everything is about control and the best way to stay/be in control is to be in charge of all currency.

Right in the middle of a world wide event that's got everyone's attention an executive order has been signed.

I will link below but this blip caught my eye.

"Under the executive order, Biden also directed the Treasury Department and other federal agencies to study the impact of cryptocurrency on financial stability and national security."

National security fears will be the key to a takeover.

Really it's surprising that world governments haven't acted sooner and more aggressive to end rogue currency.
Things are about to get interesting.

All they can do is go after the main exchanges. Those should only be used as a fiat on ramp anyways.

Remember people, not your keys, not you wallet.

I think this will be much more than just Biden.
Other countries will get on board too.

it will be way more than that.

it will be illegal to hold crypto and if you do you will never be able to convert it back to fiat.

You will be labeled a terrorist if you have any unapproved crypto and your bank accounts will be frozen.

Mostly because they suck at being a currency, it's more about the speculative aspect and people getting scammed.

The blockchain itself is a record of every single transaction ever made. If the government chooses to make their own exchange and forces people to put their crypto into it, they would be able to easily see any crypto that is not moved to their exchange. Nothing would stop them from seizing that crypto or, at the very least, making it unusable.

Sure, there are and could be more underground currencies that spring up and allow people to go under the radar, but the vast majority will not be able to hide their digital assets. A fair portion of these underground cryptocurrencies only serve to separate fools from their money when the exchange suddenly disappears.

I don't think there was anyone with half a brain who didn't see eventual governmental control and oversight.

I'm surprised it's taken this long as well.

It's like Pandoras box, crypto is out of the bag and what Biden and other countries don't like is they aint got full control of it. Crypto will always be but governments will come out with more and more legislation to try and get ultimate control over it.

looking ahead somewhat... Crypto's begin with 'c-r-y' ... next, Putin/Ukraine/USA might just develop into such a mess that Putin pops a EMP WARHEAD over the Lower 48 States to prevent Russia from getting spanked over Ukraine war crimes...

crypto, Bidens' crypto kill EOs don't shine too well for any digital realm currency, now or later

They haven't cracked down on crypto for the same reasons they haven't on cash. Think about it.

This is the economic equivalent of the Patriot Act.

It's portrayed in a way to ensure the safety of American interests but in actuality, is a means of domestic surveillance.

The all seeing eye is upon us.

The FED already put out a directive to all the large banks to recognize cryptocurrency about a year ago. You can bet your buttski that all governments will offer their own to knock out all others by simply saying its confederate currency

Of course they will try to interfere with cryptocurrency they are nervous and getting desperate.
They dont want ordinary people to succeed in the markets.

I guess I’ll buy the fear. The crypto market looks to be down a bit today anyways.
