The 'real' seasoned fighters of the last 8 years at least are somewhat more formidable…Still not a justification for invasion, many other viable options.

That's true, older computers are often kept around to run legacy software. Heck a ton of POS terminals still run Windows XP.

The laptop in the OP seems to be a ThinkPad T60 widescreen which was released in 2006. Pretty old but I still regularly use a netbook (remember those?) from 2009!

If you wanted to fake something like this, you could choose any laptop from any year, so why not make it easy and just grab a recent one?

Putin and the Deep State are friendly enemies and exchange favors. So Putin is not in Ukraine without their okay and he could be doing their dirty work for them or he's in there as a payoff for services rendered against Trump and for Hillary.
Ukraine is far from this innocent land of heroes the MSM is trying to portray, that country is dirty and corrupt. Biden did business with them through his son, Zellinsky the leader is another Trudeau... corrupt and a pawn of the WEF.

Well here in the UK energy bills are going up 50% in April and petrol is already £7 / $9 a gallon, so people are about to be squeezed more than they've ever been. Interesting times ahead.

As a professional PC/Laptop technician for going on 30 years now, I have worked on ex government laptops.

For one thing, it likely wouldn't be labeled "NATO". Labeling something invites theft. They've known that for years. That sticker is the equivalent of naming your WiFi "FBI Surveillance Van #768" a joke.

It would be asset tagged, that's for sure, but there would be no identifying name. It would be BIOS locked, and password protected. The system itself would likely be keyed to an encrypted USB dongle. Unable to function without it. Still needing authorization even with it.

Basically, the Russians would never have been able to access it, even if they could, it's also encrypted. So all data would be useless.

This isn't the movies.

I do not doubt the US has bio labs. Even in Ukraine. I'm saying Russia made up the laptop and story to cover their methods of intelligence gathering.

It's a cover story.

Russia actually ranks higher on the corruption scale. So if Ukraine is corrupt Russia is even worse.
