Sanctions which sound good on the evening news or from a White House briefing blurb seem to be mostly propaganda and have very little substance. Everything from purchasing Russian oil/no embargo on oil and gas which funds a good chuck of everything in Russia . The much touted Swift banking system which was going to really impact Russia...forget it only 7 banks out of 300 were affected.

The Biden administration and all those who support and represent him behind the scenes had superior intelligence, wisdom and knowledge of what Putin was doing before the invasion.
I truly believe they could have brokered some sort of interim peace agreement to de-escalate the situation before it happened.
I thought the Biden had administration was on a higher level than Putin.
This goes beyond military might and saber rattling.
It seems like they wanted this invasion to happen.
Biden sat down for an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, who asked: “So, you know Vladimir Putin. You think he’s a killer?” Without hesitation, the president replied, “Mmm hmm, I do.”
....
The president also confirmed that, some years ago, he was alone with Putin in his office and he brought up the topic of Putin’s lack of a human soul. “I said, ‘I looked in your eyes and I don’t think you have a soul,’ and he looked back and said, ‘We understand each other.’ The most important thing of dealing with foreign leaders... is just know the other guy.”
President Barack Obama’s Energy secretary unwittingly created a durable GOP talking point in September 2008 when he talked to The Wall Street Journal about the benefits of having gasoline prices rise over 15 years to encourage energy efficiency.
“Somehow,” Chu said, “we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”
