The one who demands of others to stop buying "evil russian gas" because it´s Putin-evil should stop to buy that evil gas too or he simply looks like like an a-hole to the rest of the world. The only one that looks more like a stupid a-hole is the one who stops buying russian gas for US profits and proxy wars. The USA is still buying gas from Russia but the traitor government in Germany forces the german population and tax payers to accept even higher costs for everything. For the "good thing", you know. Democrats are hitting their leader (Biden) hard today for not Sanctioning Russian oil, and urging other nations to do the same. They know Biden doesn't care about the consumer, so they're truly baffled by his resistance to sanctioning Russia on the oil front.

ABC News' Jonathan Karl said on "This Week" Sunday that it was "extraordinary" the Biden administration was sanctioning everything but Russian oil, "the thing that drives their economy."

"The question of banning the import of oil and gas from Russia," Karl said. "It is not insignificant.

We actually take in more petroleum from Russia then we do from Saudi Arabia.

It's extraordinary, George, for all the sanctions that have been imposed, and they have been unprecedented on Russia, to sanction everything but the thing that drives their economy!"

So yeah, lets embark on a green initiative that won't be realized for at least 40-50 years, if ever. I hope the Ukraine can hold on that long. I bet the Ukrainians are at peace knowing the US is working on this in its typical manner - a whole lot of noise and nothing to show for it except a few new taxes to fund something that will never happen.

I posted before that my friend in Americans for Prosperity said that Russia supports the anti fracking environmental groups in the West because they wanted Europe to be dependent on them instead of the us and now it seems because they want also the US to be dependent on Russia as well.

But you are right; people do have different means to contribute to the cause. Luckily there are free alternatives to gass vehicles (walk) and oil burners (huddle together) and solutions at many other different price points.

Walking is lovely if you live close to stores and remote in to work... but not if you live in a state where a foot of snow in the winter is the norm. Thanks but no thanks 😒
