Every time my wife points out another decline of/in society, I remind her that the Christian religion she's so proud to be a believer of, teaches that the world will get worse and worse until God has to destroy it (again). The top story for Newsweek 3 hours ago is that 'Elizabeth II's Declining Health Causing Brits to Cling Onto Their Queen.

The significant part of the article is that the Queen did not read the Queen's Speech @ The State Opening of Parliament. Instead Prince Charles did.
I'm not really familiar with the traditions there but could she have not performed this duty virtually? Covid has made this acceptable for most people.

The article goes on about a survey of whether she should step aside and there has been a 17% swing in opinion.
Another oddity that may be something or not but both the Pope and the Queen have suddenly developed mobility issues.
