So are the minds of dichotomous beings, cant see beyond their self-imposed walls to separate the world into good and bad.
This is, if anything, an anarchist manifesto.
But It is just a song, meant to tickle ones imagination, I guess that is beyond some, maybe they are scared to use it.

Oh it tickles my imagination quite vividly. I can envision millions of people being executed for the betterment of mankind. Glorious

Metaphorically or literally, where are the predictions of zombies?

Don't know about augmented reality but people have been playing around with VR headsets for a while now.

Not sure about "zombies" but its funny when the bang off walls.

Not so funny when you manage to take out a big tv or monitor all the same.

And following your logic one could argue that people who watch or attend football games or any other sorts of sports are already zombies of a sorts.

Good point.

Imagination can form an idea, which can lead to ideology, which leads to extremism, dichotomous thoughts are essential to get from an idea to an ideology.

When you start acting up on your imagination, you've long past ideas and are on the verge of extremism.

I get, that some can't for the sake of their imagination, imagine a world where we live as one, unless there is some eschatology involved... Yes let's not tickle their imagination.

Barundunga causes this also. An insidious weapon of human traffickers, kidknappers and murderers. Has pretty much the same effect as major events and pandemics.(putting total control in someone elses hands) My friend had a great saying regarding media/telivision..Good for keeping the bewildered herds bewildered. A 'Zombie' drug all its own.

I have to question anybody who looks up to something created by a child neglecting woman beater.

Pardon.

So You're telling me if hitler built a Time Machine that you would smash it? Simply because Hitler created it? I always heard 'Anything Going To Hell Is Worth Saving". Not sure what I think.

The question comes because this was the very subject in a recent thread.

It's okay it happens sometimes (comments of topic and so on)

Anyways I think it's an okay metaphor and I've used it before when encountering types of people who would act like that if the lights went off but then again it can be used to judge people and theres no way of knowing. We live in a highly individualistic world and so someone watching sports or doing things like reading articles isn't necessarily being a zombie, and I myself try not to get hung up on metaphors. Like competition over who is a consumerist. I'm out then. I am capable of some drastically consumerist things.

I like to put it into ''what if's'' as a mental action based on a collection of this and that and maybe even these and those. A dicotomous mind seems incapable of reaching beyond the ''or'' and grasping the ''and''.

Becoming an ''and'' thinker is not easy if one is accustomed to the ''or'' type of thinking which for those of us in Western Civlization seems for the most part to be the case. I read somewhere that we have Aristotle to blame for this to a certain extent.

I think that this idea of keeping an open mind is merely, again for the most part, just adding up more and more ''ands'' that only exist on this side of the ''or. Example? This and not that and add to this, and and and and and. Catch my drift here? It's adding all those ''ands'' to this side of the ''or'' that leads to the extremist type of thinking that you eschew. This builds a wall around ''this'' making the inclusion of ''that'' very very difficult.

Ok help me out here, because this question has the tendency to get way off topic..

Our friend terpene has been going on and on about ideas versus ideals as if hes hung up on trying to best folks on it all the while the people he is talking to are not that hung up on it. People take his comments and get way into the weeds about which one is better the answer being that its totally irrelevant to whether or not it matters what is going on being that probably 100 percent of the people on here are not that involved. I'm just trying to tip him off because it seems specious. Okay now onto the breach.

Nah. Maybe just overconcerned with how strongly people feel about the arguments they make here. But I don't want to discuss someone else because I think that might be against the t and CS and I'm concerned about my spotless record.🤟

Good because I do not like to do that either. I think T tries to hear what other people have to say from deeper down than many of the replies would offer, so he tries to dig. It's difficult to really gather fresh thoughts around here but I guess there is always hope that there are, just not easily accessible.
