Putin is threatening Nuclear attacks again....

And foreign diplomats and citizens are being called out of Russia.... bein g told to leave the Country! I wonder if this means Russia will get hit soon by some Country or Countries? Or preparing people in case Putin does go too far, then missiles will be coming to the Kremlin from above??

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko tonight issued a chilling threat that the West's sanctions on Russia are pushing the Kremlin into a Third World War, after Vladimir Putin put his nuclear deterrent forces on 'alert'.

Lukashenko's comments came as Kyiv and Moscow agreed to hold peace talks at the border with Belarus - though Volodymyr Zelensky admitted he wasn't confident of a positive resolution, adding that he owed it to his people to at least try and engage.

This evening also saw the EU unveil a fresh package of sanctions against Putin's regime, closing off its airspace to all Russian planes and banning Kremlin propaganda outlets Russia Today and Sputnik.

In response to the measures, Russian carrier Aeroflot said it was suspending all flights to Europe. 'Now there is a lot of talk against the banking sector, gas, oil, SWIFT,' Lukashenko said....

Read elsewhere today that Lukashenko is supporting Putin and sending army personnel into the Ukraine!

Putin is feeling shamed right now because his plans havn't worked out as he expected... he will continue now until he gets Kiev or he will need to be put under house arrest by his own Security, otherwise he may just order something to be done... like his threats of Nuclear attack may well go ahead if he feels he cant back down.

I have only one answer to this

Russian people remove your crazy person to a villa to live out his life in peace

We love you ... but time might be short

He is trying to be a modern day Tito.

He has been walking a tightrope to maintain control, this is more of that in my opinion.

Placate the west and the Bear.

Nobody is forcing Putin to use nuclear weapons, if he does, he chose to. Nobody forced him to invade Ukraine, he did that on his own volition. Sure, NATO have been pushing his buttons, but at the end of the day, he knows exactly what he is doing, and he knows the consequences of escalating this to a nuclear war. I don't understand how not being able to access money equates to rendering most of the earth uninhabitable not just to humans but to most other life forms?

"You made me do this" is the despairing retort of an abuser or bully who knows they went too far, yet project their blame onto their victim in an effort to keep control of the situation.

Better to be remembered as a shamed man who lost, than vilified through out history as the man who pressed the big red button and won...

How does the Russian nuclear system work? is it the same as Americas where it takes multipal fail safes to actually launch or can it be done by the one person? (time to google that i guess) If he ordered a nuke strike could those at the launch locations simply refuse the orders?

Hopefully if it ever comes to that his generals stand up for whats right.

I watched the press release on YouTube, and the generals looked very uncomfortable. I could tell by their body language they were terrified, and really didn't want to be there. I think we really are going to ultimately rely on these generals refusing the order. They are the only thing standing between Putin and extinction.

Well isn't it great to find out that if Russia's economy tanks Putin's first response is nuclear war?

Is soo great to watch the soo call nato countries, playing with their "sanctions" just like everything, once Russia that is a very big country starts to starve their citizens, US as usual with nato will send tax payer dollars to feed them.

Life is good, very good.

I had my suspicions on that, had a feeling that Russia wasn't quite all it's made itself out to be. Seems ringing his country in missile defense systems was likely the right call.

I was reading an interview about it this morning from a specialist living in Russia, but can't find the reference just now. Under normal circumstances the network link to order a launch of nuclear weapons in Russia is actually physically disconnected from control centers, presumably so that no launch can occur accidentally or without authorization. The step that Putin just ordered reconnects that physical disconnect and therefore puts the system in a heightened state of readiness. However, the expert was explaining that the Russian system does not allow for launch of nuclear weapons unless a nuclear detonation has been detected and verified on Russian territory. If everyone in Russia follows the rules, they can't fire first.

Peace is made with your enemies. If our policy is only focused on punishment, we may see far worse things to come.

Good move utilizing the swift strategy and freezing the oligarchs assets in western Europe. Now demand a full and unconditional withdrawal in an exchange for return of those things.

No is not, the only reason they are invading Ukraine is because US have a very weak and senile president, the invasion did not go like planned, then people need to understand that Russian technology is not what they try to make the rest of the world believe.

US never ever will leak its own secrets to any other country and the prof is the underground miles of bases in very inaccessible places in the US and not is not area 51, that place now is completely obsolete.

Nope, China and Russia only dream they got the technology US have right now.

Putin wants to keep the face while trying to talk something out.
It was embarrassing for Russia even without his little dog barking.
Undignified times for Belarus. A Russian flag over Kiev wouldnt change a thing.
It would be worse if anything. What were they thinking?
