Answer the question, why did the Russians starve the Ukrainians to death for a year slaughtering millions with food right in front of their face?

What does he want? What does he really want?

To stop receiving calls about his cars extended warranty.

If only so simple.

Wow, people coming out of the woodwork to support Putin
all of the sudden. That feels strangely familiar.

Noted.

Propaganda is afoot.

It's cool like larping communism. Putin happens to say similar things about our governments and globalism as we do so he has to be the good guy in their dualistic view.
China has compromised the left and El Putino occupies the heads of some of the non-left.

It's a strategy. Was he really hallucinating a real military danger from NATO?
Absolutely not. It was rather his soviet dick's pride. He screwed up Russian economy and made confrontation more likely. Yes, Crimea wont be cut off of water as long as he can keep the troops around but at what cost? He should have an oh sht moment by now if he's not crazy. Maybe he went full retard

Sure explains why he is not answering his cell. I was trying to call him about his Puffy face the other day but he did not answer. Figured he was busy. He probably has fallen off the Keto wagon and has thrown himself out of Ketosis. I suspect he will jump back on soon and thin down a bit. Get rid of that face bloating.

You are listening too much. Trust your eyes and brain. MIC "experts" have been saying Putin is crazy for years and years.

Talking heads just said he is sick now as well because of recent bout with...... Covid. Whatever that means these days.

Propaganda is afoot.

It sure is they somehow got so many of the people who would never agree with Hillary or Pelosi or Castro Jr. or Brandon to flip and just start agreeing with them about of all things Russia Russia Russia

When you're polling as low as the liberals are it takes a lot of 'shock and awe' to turn the tide. They're starting awfully early; midterms are still 11 months away. I doubt they plan on keeping the momentum going that long, which has me more than a little concerned over what they'll be pulling out of their hat next.

Midterms are going to be hacked by Russia. Best course of action is to call off all elections...... forever. Its the only way to protect national security and guard against communists. I may have to resort to hiding mommy and daddy wallets and car keys on election day. They obviously dont know what they are doing.

You mean computer hacking?? We were told that wasn't possible when Biden got the most votes for president ever !
Maybe we should go back to old-school voting.

Yeah right. Never going to happen without the entire world changing. I Hope it does. Corruption needs to be gutted first and the power returned to the voters.... everywhere. I think it will happen eventually but its showing to be one hell of a fight. The satanic dogs of the world will never stop fighting... they cant. And neither can the other side. So here we are.

There has never been such a thing as you describe.

That is, there was no intentional destruction of Ukrainians by Russians through hunger.

At that time there was a famine in the USSR.

But for the purpose of the ideological struggle against the USSR and Russia in the West, this is described as the deliberate destruction of people through hunger.

After you have received an answer to your question from me, can I get an answer to my question?

For the record I do not mean anything by parodying 2 topics posted yesterday, Thought it did strike me as just "awe-inspiring" both starting with "Can we - " Both talking about their (his&hers) genitals.

In the end though I think it is a very complicated subject. I feel like the safest stance is just to be anti-war. Even then you will have people speaking to NATO provoking Russian response, and then Russia just being an autocratic dictatorship who kills everyone even journalists. Which of course brings us to the left vs. right. Trump and so on --

I think that is why already this feels fleeting - To me at least. The banning of vodka just like the freedom fries incident just changed things. It's still there just not at the same fever pitch. I just don't sense the same energy as was displayed here yesterday.

Sorry if it was a bad thread. I wont do any better though. Just seeing the rabid type of response, People posting English versions of Ukrainian battle hymns and their national anthem. Perhaps, I'm just a tad cynical.
edit on 27-2-2022 by FisheatsFish because: mistakes of course.

Fever pitch yesterday was just the hard core push of the initial narrative. Happens every time. They might be able to pull some sort of cyber attack to ramp things back up..... problem there is they then could lose the ability to further propagandize. I think they will hold off on that move a little longer. I predict Russia will take Ukraine and things will move onto the next set of moves. Probably trucker convoy stuff. After that probably supreme court and pushing culture war division. Covid is probably off the table for a while. Might be back after mid terms...shut people up again. Summer is going to be a lot of escalation... physical...antifa type stuff again. Once Trump decides to run we will be right back at 24/7 anti trump coverage.

Of course it could all change with a major move but thats been the pattern I see so far.

I have a question.

Putin now has the attention of the whole world.

What does he want? What does he really want?

Oil above $105 per barrel.

Unlike the USA, where many oil wells are actually owned by mom & pop companies with 5 or fewer wells each, oil in Russia is owned by the state, that leases its wells to govt/private oligarchies like Gasprom. Their govt gets income directly from oil sales.

Russia’s cost is ~40 per barrel. USA’s cost is ~36.50 a barrel.

If the west doesn’t stay excited, Putin my have to pull out and reinsert troops several times. Kind of like he’s been doing since 2016

not to sidetrack thread but USSR absolutely starved the Ukraine in the 1930s.
Moscow insisted on taking ALL the harvest and didn't return enough for them to live on.
purposefully done. Stalin wanted the independent farmers to die out.

Putin's paranoia is irrational. even if Russia was surrounded by NATO countries with missiles and attack helos, there's no way anyone would have attacked them. was not going to happen.

Something about all of this just does not add up, which is very bad.

Or, it actually ALL adds up, in which case it’s likely worse. Houston………..

Interesting

"He who controls the oil controls the world" -- or so I've heard.

Russia is not part of OPEC.

Is this getting off topic?

Ukraine discovered significant oil and gas---around Crimea region---in 2010 and was starting to get to exploiting it.

If it had done so, then EU could get gas from UKR and not necessarily need Russia.

So some of this was about petroleum, but more importantly the power and independence that a self sufficient Ukraine would enjoy. Putin is stuck in the KGB mentality and looking at the world backwards in time, instead of forwards. He doesn't know how to make actual, authentic allies. He thinks the Cold War with its puppet govts in E. Europe was the apogee. He thinks NATO captured Eastern Europe, when in fact the USSR lost it because of KGB doing KGB things there.

In an alternative history, without Putin and his types, Russia & Ukraine become actual friends with similar culture like USA and Canada. Ukraine had no petroleum technology, so a friendly Russia could have made some deals. Both get successful and both join EU for prosperity.

Poland made it out of Communist dictatorship and moved forward in the world.
