there is with out a doubt a show down going on

i think Russia has the resolve to outlast or not be heavily impacted by US sanctions or even EU ones as the Russians control a lot of the energy sector in the EU

The US has been shipping tons of weapons from small arms to advanced shoulder fired missiles(Javelins) and god knows what else to Ukraine. The people of Ukraine have been getting training from special forces and contractors for over a year(that i know about) and have allot of tech at their disposal that if a ground invasion happens MASSIVE causalities from both sides civilian and military will be sickening

Russia will have to hammer the Ukraine so hard to bring them to heel that it could very well touch off the war we have put on hold even before the Cubin missile crisis.

When the Ukraine was part of the USSR it had large stoke piles of chemical weapons and nuclear missiles, they were apparently all destroyed but anyone that knows how the real world works know that at least one nuke was tucked away somewhere and that the knowledge on chemical weapons from use to manufacture still exists in the Ukraine and wouldnt be hard to do a crash program to make VX or something similar with very little trouble.

The DOE can tell where every core was made and in what reactor due to various isotopes or impurities in the uranium or plutonium. But if there was an ultra black program to make a warhead Ukraine already knows how to produce the needed hardware and granted they couldnt test the designs but they were tested in the past and worked fine.

The Ukrainians, if you watch cetin social media accounts and keep your ear to the ground sounds extremally willing to do as much damage as they can because they know they cant beat Russia, so why not take the cores your tucked away and reconstitute a warhead or like i said make chemical weapons, if they can do it in the middle east and not government sponsored imagine what a government run program with the knowledge and ability to manufacture and make them in to weapons could do.

Israel has a plan/suicide pact that if Israel was to fall that they would release chemical weapons and all their nuclear weapons on themself and the attackers and wipe everyone out. And that is totally public and even thoughted as the strength and will of Israel to repel invaders at all costs because, never again, right? Wonder if todays Palestinians would be more at home with the Jews of concentration camps and not the Zionists bent on being the strongest in the region and damn the torpedoes.

and before anyone says I'm an anti Semite i cant hate what i am.

Putin said this AM our last night that all negotiants have essentially failed with the US at the meeting the French setup, but at the same time Biden is telling the world he is ready to come to the table. Sounds to me like Russia is holding all the cards and that is Bidens way of asking him to come back.

I have friends in Russia and they are as worried as the me over this situation as it could spiral so fast that the world could literally end as we know it.

back in the cold war the came up with a term, MEGADEATH, each megadeath was one millions kills/deaths. the fact they had to come up with a term for a million kills into short hand tells you what would happen in realty, 100's of millions would die in a nuclear exchange and weapons most cant imagine.

I hope cooler heads prevail and Putin stops probing how far he can go before he gets a reaction because the one he will get will start a nuclear war, does anyone think that Russia testing mobile ICBM launches were a test? no they were a warning.

Nuclear weapons are part of Russia's standard doctrine of war or were for a very long time as they were for the US, and honestly i think they still are in a war that we are on the brink of.

back in the 80's when the US moved tons of Pershing ll missiles and ground launched cruise missiles, all nuclear, right on th USSR's border.
the rational behind that was NATO forces could not put up an effective defense in rapid time in the event of a massive tank invasion via Germany so we had to have these medium range nuclear devices ready to go.

makes me wonder what nato's fall back plan is.

The warheads of todays nukes can be tailored to the targets they are going after from extremally low yields to megatons and neutron bombs and even 'salted' bombs that purposely put cobalt or some other metal in the cores so they under go transmutation into long lasting deadly decay products/fall out.

Russia has shown again and again they will use chemical weapons on their opponents even on UK soil as well as using an isotope only made in reactors to kill political decenters, why anyone thinks it will be different in Ukraine i don't know.

The so called resistance in Ukraine is a lot of non Ukrainian fighters and even US and other NATO members SF's, i saw a video that a Ukrainian took of two men in Ukrainian military uniforms one had an Aussie accent and the other was American. Who do you think is training them how to use US advanced weaponry. Using a Javelin isn't like shooting a RPG and yes its easy to use but you still need to know how to use it and that comes from us soldiers and contractors.

I believe we removed our nukes from Turkey(for obvious reasons) so i wonder who is the closest NATO member with nukes to the Ukraine happens to be.

If the war touches off it is going to be levels of death the world hasn't seen in along time.

Ukraine is likely to be the only country not nuked.

What scares me is this: Biden has the lowest approval of any president in recent history. His policies are failures. He has been destroying our country from the inside out. I would not put it past him to pull off a false flag and drag us into this war. It would create a massive distraction from his abysmal performance here at home. If this war goes full blown, no one will truly win. Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands will lose their lives. It will make what happened in Ukraine in 2014-15 look like a skirmish.

The US has spent billions in Ukraine over the past decades funding NGOs that foment political unrest and in pursuit of constant anti Russian tension. The situation will settle down once the US and their military allies have shifted as much military hardware as they can. After all. it's the American way. There will never be peace in the world when the so called 'world police' need constant war and threat of war to maintain their global hegemony. They have no interest in peace. Nuland's f' the EU comment sums up the real US attitude to everyone else.

Absolutely spot on and business as usual when it comes to what's really going on when it comes to unmasking the 'freedom fighters' and 'resistance' that the western MSM spews out to the sheep

Two examples of these contractors I've met so far in life...............

British soldier who was undercover fighting along with many others in the Golan Heights / Syria in 1967 Six Day War

Dutch soldier who was part of the Croatian Army that went on the offensive against Serb regions and actually inflicted ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Craijina. He told me pretty much the whole army were mercenaries answering adverts placed in local newspapers for vets and many of those were Duchies

Business as usual in Ukraine for TPTB

Last week I was hoping that Russia & Ukraine might have come to terms, but I guess not. Putin is without a doubt talking like he intends to take those 2 provinces.

I still don't think the West is going to get involved with this, beyond the usual pointless financial sanctions. All Russia needs to do is turn off the gas pipeline and Europe will be on its knees. And everyone knows this. At least he waited until the worst of winter was over.

Even Ukraine seems to have resigned itself to this happening.

It's already over. For the next 2 years or so. Putin sent his peacekeepers the two eastern provinces declared their autonomy, the West has implemented sanctions, end of story.
Except for a lot of helpless whining the show's over.

Except for upcoming government sponsored news media stories about ethnic cleansing occurring in the two new autonomous regions.

Russian had nuclear weapons in Ukraine; in 1991 Ukraine declared its independence and Russia removed all of their nuclear weapons. I'll bet they got them all, and removed the technology needed to make and use them at the same time.

Perhaps the 2 Autonomous areas will classify as Protectorates...

The following countries are considered as US Protectorates:

Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, US Minor Outlying Islands, Guam, American Samoa and Northern Mariana Islands.
What are the 16 territories of the US?
The United States currently administers 16 insular areas as territories: [...]

The Israeli suicide pact is not for show as you point out but very genuine, it is a willingness to follow the example set by Jewish resistance fighters from the uprising in the Warsaw ghetto and also the earlier resistance by the Occupants of Masada that is seen as a spiritual legacy and right of the Jewish people, they WILL destroy and launch all of there possibly 200 plus (though officially less than that) Nukes to destroy there enemy's.

The idea is that the remaining Jewish people around the world will continue there traditions and eventually at some other future time when it is possible reclaim there homeland once again.

I have no doubt they would and indeed WILL do it if it ever comes down to it but they will fight until they no longer can before they do or until they risk losing that ability and then they will while possibly trying to get children out of Israel aboard ship's and aircraft in a new exodus from the holy land.

I don't think that Putin has Syria in mind with this though but if he does he need's to remember this fact, likely his need is to project power and to give him a loaded gun he can use if needed without having to wrangle through the internal politics of Russia in order to head off potential threats to Russian interests before rather than after the fact.

But let's hope that is all that it is.

And Ukraine may well still get Nuked if a full scale war broke out, they may have removed most of there cold war assets but they are likely still nuclear capable with so much Soviet era nuclear ordnance still located on there territory.

You know what I have a sneaking suspicion that there may still be underground networks with access points in Russia and that there may be cold war era facility's that the Russians very well may have kept secret even from the Ukraine that they may possibly have the ability too or may even have re-activated and resupplied from within Russia, maybe the Ukrainians have Russian facility's active today right below there feet and even the odd Ukrainian farmhouse could actually have a much bigger secret under it's cellar floor boards just waiting for a launch command.

Ukraine has been getting training from US in particular for farrrrr longer than a year. I have had family members that were living and contracting there as long as like 10 years ago at least.
I am thinking for an excuse to attack Russia (who won't be invading) the West will use a false flag dirty bomb. I hope not.

The cost for the Russians would be very high compared to any gain they could achieve from an invasion.

Like I said, even Ukraine seems to be accepting this, so I damn sure am not willing to put any of my country's troops in harms way to stop it.

Russia is an economic midget. California alone is 80 percent more in GDP than the whole of Russia.
Why do you think they lost the Soviet Union, by trying to keep up with America economically and militarily destroyed them in the 90s, and IF they want they can likely do it again, that is the EU and America.
