I’ve been trying to recall the name of a candy for my childhood.
Probably from the late 70s to the early 80s.
The candy was similar to smarties being a compressed sugar.
Little pastel cylinders around 3/16” in dia and 1/4” long.
Help!
Speaking of old school candy. Remember Astro pops?
Always thought those looked dangerous…

How about zots?

Charleston chew, chocolate only, was great too as long as you froze them.
Do they still make chunky bars?

I agree with oddscreenname, I think you are referring to Necco wafers. I used to love them as a kid and the Necco made the Sweethearts Valentine hearts too. Always loved those but hated the Brach's brand. And yes, they do still make Chunky bars, we sell them at my store. Sold a few this week actually!
Missed where you said not Necco, sorry. I'm at a loss then but at least you know they still make the Chunky bars still lol

My god! I was just having this same conversation with my wife recently. The candy looks exactly like a roll of smarties, but it seems like it was more sour, or almost fizzy. I have been trying to figure this one out for a while, but no one else remembers them. We used to get disappointed when we got those instead of smarties. It’s a candy coated Mandela effect!

Are they the Satellite wafers with the sour center? Looks kind of like a flying saucer?
