Oh, I can tell you why.

Israeli scientist have already stated that vaccines do not prevent acquisition and transmission of the virus. They are lifting their green pass. Omicron has bypassed any illusion that their vaccines can impact viral transmission.

Well looking at israeli news the reason for it seems to be they eat covid. Casses have severly declined they are removig green pass restrictios and airport restrictions. The surge was actually caused by non vacinated.

The data if you look at it. Its the opposite. They are dropping the vax passports because the vaxed were also ending up hospitalized. How could be caused by the un vaxed when they were bared from public life without a vax pass in most public settings?

I'm still looking for absolute clarification, however, in the meantime I suspect;

2 injections - Unvaccinated (Lapsed vaccination).
3 injections - Partially Vaccinated.
4 injections - Vaccinated.

To be honest, the biggest question I have is, how many would have survived if they had taken no injections at all?

I think the following is what they are trying to punt;

What happened in Israel with massive vaccination is a sign what might happened if countries go fully 100% vaccination threshold.

Actually Israel is in a decline of cases. They already peaked with Omicron at + 80,000 cases per day. So 15,000 cases puts them well on the decline.

However, MSM is not reporting that in the world of the quadruple jabbed, that they all still caught Omicron WHILE having lockdowns, WHILE using vaccine passports and everyone having to prove vax status and most importantly WHILE wearing masks. None of those preventive measures stopped them from catching Omicron.

The fact is that despite government talk about a 4th dose;

- 75.39% of the population of Israel have had the first dose.
- 68.86% of the population of Israel have had the second dose.
- 50.20% of the population of Israel have had the third dose.
- 7.99 of the population of Israel have had the fourth dose.

They are nowhere near the 90% that is required for herd immunity on the first two doses, and the current boom in numbers of cases, and in numbers of deaths, is entirely explicable by that...

Although they started well in the first few weeks of vaccinations, misinformation has caused millions of people to hold off completing the course of vaccinations and Israel has now fallen behind.

Honestly curious I heard about 6 different numbers over the last 2 years, and when you dig back prior to covid online it seems to just say Majority of the population has the antibodies.

So who came up with it, what scientific standard was used, what data backs up 90% as the magic number?

Never will there be a 100% threshold either anywhere.
Unless they start forcing it directly. Israel has made it clear these vaxs haven't prevented anything.

Maths in a minute: "R nought" and herd immunity. (This was published before Omicron and Delta strains were a big thing).

Because the reproduction number covers a range, rather than being a hard and fast constant (because it is influenced by numerous situational factors), there is argument that even 100% of people with antibodies won't be enough to slow the disease at the top end of that range (R0=14), and 80% would be somewhere at the bottom end of the range (R0=3, I think). The 90% is the 'in between' value that a lot of epidemiologists appear to be using.

Ya, like many years ago. Have an MBA and I still remember the book probably 50 years ago. The main thing it teaches ya is to sort out BS. Maybe a few here should visit that old book.
