They are already trying to make the supposed next variant scary because the South African doctor had exposed how mild omicron one was. You have the dying audience media outlets like CNN trying fear monger out the next one as much as possible.

I pretty much figure Omicron BA.w is already all over the U.S. For every Covid wave in the UK and western Europe (France Denmark Holland Germany Spain) the United States peaks a month later than Europe. If the UK and Denmark were having their BA.2 peaks in January and BA.2 spreads faster than BA.1, then technically the United States is already having a BA.2 peak right now.

But guess what...it's not much of a peak because the majority of people who developed immunity to Omicron BA.1 aren't really having any symptoms to BA.2.

And I really don't understand the mask Karen of the article. Boy is she clueless about the rest of the country or the rest of the world for that matter. Arizona stopped wearing masks at stores, restaurants, fast food places and bars since September 2021. That's 4 1/2 months of not wearing masks. We quit wearing masks before Delta wave and Delta was nothing but a bump of cases because most people had acquired immunity to one or more strains of Covid before exposure to Delta.

So if we didn't wear masks for Delta. Didn't wear masks for Delta Plus. Didn't wear masks fir Omicron BA.1, then why the hell does the mask Karen of the article demand that people wear masks now for BA.2.

Some if these people in other parts of the country are overwhelming stupid beyond belief. Denmark and the UK with peak-high Omicron BA.2 cases discontinued masks at the peak. These masks Karens need to go back to the hole in the ground from which they came.
