In a Star Trek movie; It appeared as the "Future" wiped out all traces of vocal metaphor otherwise known as "cursing" that sums up a moment as an empty expression; That emphasizes the absurdity of it... The "It" being whatever subject was/is at hand.

Where the character Spock had to explain that such words were "Colorful Metaphors" Like painting a picture with words instead of Dragnet style: "just the facts" or words drawn out into a dull drum of pedantry.

So the real question is; What are all the colorful metaphors allowed on ATS in posts/creative writings etc?

I don't know all of them, but I do know some of them. What I like to call "sentence enhancers", or "colorful metaphors" were sometimes considered "profanity" by the presiding officers and chairpersons who reside on ATS.

So the presiding officers and chairpersons of ATS consider this a sacred space? re The sacred and profane is often seen as a meme or trope skipping hand in hand with each other.

I was wondering because often times; I see such words covered up or made using internet l33t speak. A list of what are known to be OK by the presiding officers and chairpersons would be helpful for those that may feel just as put out by those that do not like the use of "profanities"

I often speak like a "sailor" and don't see any harm in it; I was misled to believe a child was mine once and before I left the scene of fatherhood? I realized the world was not only going to get all over that child in every nook and cranny that it could over the course of that life? That it would be a futility to think or believe you could keep such a thing from happening and even worse act like that life was somehow mine instead of the child's to decide what feces would be getting on them.

Pretending it is not there and pretending one has never personally had it on them oneself... that is the true or real sickness.

Seeing such a thing, knowing such a thing as real and basically invertible is just realistic; Not getting into anyone's past is the best courtesy we can pay each other in the "Love thy neighbor" maxum as far as in both public and private goes.
