For those who say VP Mike Pence COULD NOT HAVE declined to accept, or delayed accepting, each state's slate of Electors and their Votes on January 6, 2021...HE INDEED COULD HAVE.
Where in the constitution is the VP authorized to decline or delay the electoral process?

There wouldn't need to be a law against this if there was a clear directive against it.

The attorneys on the Senate payroll must have found the authorization somewhere, or they wouldn't be crafting a bill to turn that authorization off. No?

Amazing how tiny some of these minds in the MSM are. They keep whining that Pence couldn't do it. Dumbasses. At least Senators and their staff know the truth.

Will this Pence announcement help or hurt the GOP come November. Corporate bigdogs are pulling their support.

What Pence announcement? There's been a lot of discussion about him in the news media over the past week, for some reason. I've ignored most of it, considering he's yesterday's news...and a proven traitor to Trump.

Pence not only had the right he had the obligation.
He is a traitor
All a committee of 6 Republican Senators (led by Ted Cruz) was asking of Pence was to DELAY certifying the election for Biden until January 20th. By then, a massive investigation would have determined if Biden won legitimately, or by crooked means.
Pence SAID he was willing to go along with it, until changing his mind the morning of January 6th, the way you'd expect a spineless traitor to do: www.cnbc.com...

Pence is smart. Mincing words... "I had no right to overturn the election".
He had the AUTHORITY to do a lot of things, including delaying the certification, which is what he was asked to do.
What he said today, he's said before. Those in the media who are amazed, have short attention spans.

"If the Vice President (Mike Pence) had 'absolutely no right' to change the Presidential Election results in the Senate, despite fraud and many other irregularities, how come the Democrats and RINO Republicans, like Wacky Susan Collins, are desperately trying to pass legislation that will not allow the Vice President to change the results of the election?" Trump wrote. "Actually, what they are saying, is that Mike Pence did have the right to change the outcome, and they now want to take that right away. Unfortunately, he didn't exercise that power, he could have overturned the Election!"

So you're saying that Democrats in the Senate are proving how dumb they are, for crafting a law to prevent something that wasn't lawful to begin with?
If that's the case, I 100% agree.

I wonder if that will work for the GOP come November. Will trumps blessings on his chosen candidates help them. Corps are a bit reluctant to fund the far right. Perhaps the grass roots can grow....

Things generally need to get ugly before they can get better.
Too bad no one seems to have the fortitude to see it through.
