On the day Putin and Xi buddied up to show a united front against NATO and the West it perhaps seems appropriate to draw up a WW III playlist to listen to as the end approaches , nothing we can do to change anything so lets play the music and dance.

Happy Friday.

Being a most tragic event, WWIII can only be contemplated by the saddest music ever written.

Close your eyes and contemplate the grandness of human potential juxtaposed with the absolutely vile mess we have made of our chances on this planet. Here is Samual Barber's ''Adagio for Strings''

Or, if we want to recognize the end of our species as an eternal ''joke'' I can recommend this one by Count Basie and his Orchestra.

We could bounce right out the door with this one. Note the jackass laugh at the very end.

Lock on target by Disintegrator is a fitting title....or Attack by K-Plan but I still can't do video with this phone.

You'll just have to take my word for it.

I imagine there would be just one big loud BOOOOOM if we ever got to that point.

ETA seeing as there's not many techno fans here you could pretty much play anything by our local punk/metal crossover originators Discharge. Lots of nuclear doom songs from those guys.

I can add to the list with this one I just remembered.

Beginning with the beating of the war drum it finishes to the beat of the soldiers marching off to die.

With plenty of good lyrics in between to think about such as'' ''we let the blind men lead the way to long''

Alan Parsons Project and ''Children of the Moon

I wonder how the heat from a nuclear bomb feels like.
I guess we will soon find out
