Everything Hershey makes is going to get more expensive, but who cares?

Hershey is garbage, but relatively pure dark chocolate (80% or higher) has more antioxidants than blueberries.

They have been trying to make chocolate good for you for a long time. Studying the chemistry of it, I don't consider it good for anyone. At most it is neutral for half of the people. Money steers research and the companies that make chocolate have lots of money to try to make their product appear healthy.

I don't mind an occasional candy bar or peanut butter cup, but I know it is not good for me to eat it.

If I am going to eat something that is not good for me, I do not want to spend much on it.

Hersheys is pure GarBAGE!
Most of the world know that isn't Chocolate.

I can't eat it but I know some people love it. I emplore them to try real chocolate for a year (similar price point) and then try to go back.

Agreed, it's not good chocolate. Literally almost every other chocolate maker is far better chocolate.

My grocery store sells these Chocolove Chili/Cherry Bars. I've been nuts for them lately. I usually have two or three squares in my packed lunch.

Will never buy that garbage now. Boycotted for life.

The Valentine's Day commercials make those chocolates look so good.

We took our kids for a tour of the Hershey factory when they were young...about 2003. One of the workers in the "vat/mixing" room had snot on his beard, which was hanging out from under his white mask.

Gross.

You are trolling. Covid doesn't last in food, especially during processing...

Too bad for you, the mandate doesn't stop infection and transmission.

If you like chocolates made sure you will eat something special and better, all the over-the-counter candy are nothing but trash and the worst stuff you can put in your body.

I love chocolates but darn I will spend the money to eat something that is the best.

And I also check companies and see if they deserve my hart earned dollars or not.

Just make your own chocolate sauce!! Easy Peasy!

Ingredients
▢1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
▢1 cup sugar
▢1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
▢1/2 cup cold water
▢1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
In a cold saucepan, whisk together the cocoa and the sugar until all lumps are removed. Add the salt and the water and bring to a boil over medium to medium high heat.
Reduce to a simmer; stirring constantly. Simmer for about 30 seconds and then remove from heat. Let cool and then add vanilla. Pour into a glass jar and refrigerate until needed. Enjoy!
Notes
The chocolate sauce will be very thin when it finishes boiling, but it will thicken quite a bit as it cools. The chocolate sauce may be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Simply reheat before serving.
This recipe makes 14oz of chocolate sauce and can easily be doubled if desired.

I'm a Mars guy myself, especially M&M's. I did occasionally eat Hershey's almonds bars. I appreciate you bringing to my attention what they did to their unpoisoned staff. I am going to be certain i boycott every product made by Hershey's I possibly can.

I don't eat much candy to start, so I will make sure to check what cookies they are associated with so I do not accidentally give them any of my money.

I used to find Hershey's ok, but at some point they upped the sugar content considerably making it almost inedible as chocolate.

I still enjoy Dove.

But nothing beats the really, really good stuff.

Fortunately, there are several small business chocolate manufacturers in my area.

I'm thinking that corrupt globalism is going to lead to the uprising of small businesses, so long as people pay attention and react with care.

I go to Hershey Park, which is their amusement park with roller coasters, but their chocolate is not nearly as good as better chocolate brands. Give it up!

One of the best amusement parks in the country. Great coasters!

I grew up right outside of Hershey. You couldn't pay me to eat that crap. I don't really care for any chocolate made in the US. It just seems to lack that smoothness or creaminess you find in bars from other countries.

Let's also not forget that Hershey employs foreign "students" as slave labor

Which factory? None of them in Hershey has been open for tours since the late 70s/early 80s

Ah cool, yeah, I live within an hour of there. I go because I take my kid and his cousins, and it's the closest legit amusement park. But the candy, no.

There are good chocolate brands though in the US, but they usually aren't the snickers/Hershey type candy. You can find all kinds of gourmet brands here, that are as good as a lot of foreign chocolate. But, they are also priced accordingly.
