What a damn shame!
Those ACT really made themselves look bad, and will do nothing but turn otherwise peaceful people against them in the long run.
I would like to know who began the altercation when they initially arrested that 70 year old woman (for god knows what trumped up charge).

Mate, if you can't protest or park something larger than a VW in a place you're supposedly allowed to, we KNOW who the perpetrators are..

I get your point, but this isn't main stream media. It's a guy, independent, who follows these events. To make sure the truth is first most.. not the MSM narrative.. What you saw, is what happened. No shenanigans.

I saw a bunch of people peacefully hanging out on public land. Nice day in the sun.
I saw a bunch of people who were parking their vehicles on public land illegally. Parking ticket violations.
I saw a small squad of coppers patrolling the area, apparently once every hour to keep an eye on the camp. No problem, it's their job to enforce the law.
I saw a guy with a microphone and a camera man videoing the afternoon. I saw a bunch of people standing around talking a lot with the coppers, shaking hands and stuff. The guy with the microphone was interviewing some of the coppers.
All was peaceful. He was also inviting anyone listening to his broadcast to come and join the protest.
Then one gal, dancing around a copper, turns and gives him a shove. Opps, that's a no no. Shouldn't touch the coppers. Shouldn't shouldn't shouldn't, The copper turns and for a moment takes her by the arm gently it seemed and then she tries to pull away.
At that point all of the people begin to surround the coppers with their cameras filming and their microphones trying to get into the acion while other people begin to surround the coppers and push and shove as tempers begin to flare.
I saw the coppers take up a defensive position as the crowd pushes towards them. Then the coppers begin to retreat in their defensive stance an a small number of protesters manage to get themselves some battle scars to help demonstrate the over powering authoritarianism of the government.
My opinion? The coppers were doing their job. The government was protecting public spaces. Here in the US, we know that public spaces like this where people congregate peacefully though illegally often turn into illegal camps that begin to draw more and more people which then end up turning into over crowded camps with refuge and sanitation problems. All on public lands.
So no, I did not see any storming by the coppers. I did see a bunch of protesters itching for an angry media event and that by George is what they ended up getting. Exactly what they wanted.
