UK UFO Report for sightings in 2021 - Released Yesterday

2021 may just turn out to be a hugely pivotal year for those that follow the UFO topic. Whilst the world was still locking down and new variants of Covid-19 were causing havoc and, sadly, many deaths, there were huge strides being made in the ongoing battle towards ‘Disclosure’.

Are you Ash Ellis, the author of that report?

If not, you plagiarized his content by posting the first paragraph of the report as if it's your statement, instead of putting ex tags or quotes around it like you're supposed to do for externally sourced material you didn't write.

So your opening post consists of essentially "see link for the latest report released yesterday for all UK reported sightings", which is not sufficient commentary to start a thread per ATS guidelines.

If 2021 was "pivotal" it seems to me like the pivot of the "much anticipated UAP Task Force Report in the United States" mentioned in your link was very anti-climactic, being much hyped but delivering practically nothing useful.

In the UK, the report cites the "business as usual" stance of the MOD that "“...the MOD has not changed its position on the subject of UAP and UFOs. In over 50 years no report to the Department on these issues indicated the existence of any military threat to the UK.”

So, I'm not really seeing the "huge strides being made in the ongoing battle towards ‘Disclosure’" comment that you appear to have plagiarized, in either the US or the UK. The FOIA king in the US, John Greenewald, has lamented that it's harder than ever to get UFO/UAP information from government sources, quite the opposite of strides toward disclosure.

I have my doubts that 2021 was any more pivotal than 1951.

The problem with "disclosure" is that most of the UFO community believe this to be their government confirming aliens are visiting Earth. If that doesn't happen, then the claims of 'cover-up' ring out yet again. But what if the truth they seek does not actually exist?

The UK's stance is..

“...the MOD has not changed its position on the subject of UAP and UFOs. In over 50 years no
report to the Department on these issues indicated the existence of any military threat to the
UK.”

And there is very little to indicate any UFO reported in the UK has been a military threat.

Some UFOs reports are caused by secret military tests and exercises. The military is also reluctant to reveal the location, range and abilities of detection sensors to adversaries. Most important of all, the military doesn't like to admit what it doesn't know. Unless that also serves a purpose!

That's not to say there aren't genuine mysteries in the skies and a number of interesting unexplained cases across the UK spanning over a hundred years. But don't expect the government to have all answers!

Hi, I'm not Ash Ellis. I am the co host of a podcast with him. Im good friends with him.

If you aren't happy with with I have put, please tell the admins. I can't even change the post now, so it is what it is. I think you will find that the hard work that Ash has put into the report has produced interesting results. I for one have written to my local MP regarding UAP's and had responses from both the MP and there MOD.

I am sharing the link to the report and his website so people can find the great work.

I've had a look at the report. It certainly contains a lot of statistical work on the where and when sightings have been recorded across the UK across 2021. But those numbers can only reveal so much.

I did look at some of the investigations too. With this one from St.Helens being particularly humorous.



Something that is certainly a cardboard cutout as the investigation report says!!

But have you found a truly baffling case in 2021 in the UK?
