Greenwald always seemed pretty impartial to me, reporting rather than interpreting. I don't know much about Rogan though I think at least he tries to be impartial. Brand I"m pretty sure has strong opinions, and what I have heard from him pretty much appeal to my own sense of up and down.

I think that all of the topics we discuss here, and for that matter, across the board of discussion have adherents along a wide spectrum of opinions. It seems pretty easy to tug many of us one way or the other with hyperbolic rhetoric. It's tough to keep open to both sides of people wanting to get involved. Maybe not getting involved would be the best thing for all of us. No, I don't mean that really , just getting tired of it all Gut.

I'm pretty sure you know I have a lot of affection & respect for you, Terry.

Having said that, you kind of started out in the "woke" camp yourself if I recall.

The reason I do respect you is because you debate honestly, you obviously have a good heart, and you think things through.

So now many on the "left" are saying things many of us were arguing sincerely and passionately two-years ago. Maybe some of us got unfairly labeled--damn near libeled--and some here might need to acknowledge that if we're talking about lofty ideals of fairness and equality?

If you recall back to our first encounter, it was made clear that I had, among other experiences, a period of time when I ran with serious Marxists. That was in the early 90s. Not a detour, but more a puddle to slog though in my chosen direction of walking as many paths of discovery as I could follow and still emerge on the other side. Experiencing belief systems though active participation rather than merely reading about or listening to others definitions of what those beliefs were.

Sometimes by choice, sometimes by happenstance our lives present us with perspectives to experience and take with us as we depart from here. I think.
Some of us may participate in one life long perspective that colors all that we experience and that is what we take with us. I think. Some, I think, may experience numerous perspectives to utilize as we move on. All are lessons for our eternal existence. I think.

I consider ''woke'' as an adventure in illusion allowing any who participate the experience of a belief system. It's main problem as I see it is that it is pretty much an unconscious experience that if not marshaled consciously can draw folk deeper and deeper into which ever illusion they have found themselves, not knowing of course that it IS and illusion. Some may come out and some may not, it is as it is. In this manner I see little difference between the ''woke left'' and the ''woke right''. Was I ''woke left''? I guess we can see me that way though I think not. In my expressions here I have tried to offer observations gleaned from a life long association with liberalism. My failure, if any has been the assumption that those beliefs would true from that time and into this time. I now do not think that they do. The ''life is change'' mantra is way short of being true. I now think that is is more like '' life is a whole lot of freeking change then we ever imagined. The beliefs of liberalism from the 60s when I first chose to become liberal now hold little water as a whole at this point.

So am I liberal now? I think not as my choice of liberalism was a course to better the planet for all of us. I no longer hold that illusion. Does it make me now conservative? I think not as even though I have learned much here, one of the things I have learned is how so many who consider themselves so smart and enlightened on conservative matters that they have then been lead into placing faith in the actions of a complete narcissistic child of 9 who seeks to elevate himself to some kind of godhood...

So yes, I am here. I chose to come here yet am here now by happenstance. It's' not what I sought, but it's where I am in this place ATS. I suppose I might go and join a liberal discussion board, but I just don't think I could stomach it..

Donald Trump says the "unauthorized girlfriend" reason for Zucker resigning, was bull. He says the 90% ratings drop is why.

AT&T just renewed his contract as CNN's CEO in May of 2021.

Something huge must be close to welling-up to the surface. Could be a connection to Zucker's recently arrested PEDO loving chief producer.

Zucker didn’t want to disclose his relationship was with Don Lemon.

The guy who tried his best to look like his boss, Jeff Zucker, is distraught...

Left-wing media pundit Brian Stelter addressed former CNN boss Jeff Zucker's exit from the company on Sunday, saying it "rattled" the network to its core and that it was the "ugliest shakeup" at the network in years.

Zucker, who had been with the network since 2013, admitted in a resignation memo to employees that he had failed to disclose a "consensual relationship" with marketing chief Allison Gollust. Gollust is still with the company.

The liberal network's media correspondent addressed the scandal on Sunday's "Reliable Sources."

Many staffers, Stelter said, "are confused" and "angry," later adding that Zucker's exit is "not what they wanted."

"This is the ugliest shakeup at CNN since the days Ted Turner was walking the halls," Stelter said, referring to the network's founder who was eventually forced out of the company.

What's strange is that everyone who's still at CNN seems angry that Zucker quit, and disappointed that he got caught. They're not upset that Jeff Zucker violated his own CNN rules and guidelines.
