I've spent time in Mexico. It's a nice place. Bad # happens everywhere. I honestly feel way more free in Mexico than I ever do in the US. Like as long
as you aren't in a major city you can do damn near whatever you want as long as you aren't causing trouble or pissing people off.
In the US it's fine as long as you don't live in crazy ass city.
The people leaving those states and cities have only further increased the pooulation boom in Tennessee. Infrastructure already can't handle it and
they are selling 100 year old broke down houses at new prices. The median home now costs between 300k to 500k and beyond.
My country ass town has been absorbed by the city amd is almost completely unrecognizable in less than a decade. Old roads are gone, new roads have
come. Neighbourhoods have turned into massive neighbourhoods. Some can take you fifteen minutes to get through.
Nashville is a blue city, but there's not much of a difference between the Democrats and Republicans here. Nashville hasn't had any of the covid
restrictions for quite a while now. Even when they were in place they were largely ignored and unenforced.
I grew up and spent most of my life im Middle Tennessee, but I may end up having to move somewhere where the cost of living isn't rising so
quickly.
I work in an excellent career that's in no danger of ever going away, at a good place of employment, and I used to be considered upper-middleclass. I
could go out and have fun weekend without worrying about how much I spent, I could donate decent amounts of money to causes and individuals. Now I
feel like I'm back to one bad experience away from living paycheck to paycheck again, and that's with a decent amount of money put back for
emergencies.
When I graduated back in 2008 and entered the crappy ass job market in a crappy ass economy I worked my ass off to get the skills and knowledge I
needed to be successful. And right when I felt like I could become even more successful amd never have to worry about money or retiring, all this
Covid BS started, and talks about green taxes, and more taxes, and then they went ahead and devalued our fake ass money by a magnitude of exponents
never seen before.
I'd stay in Mexico if I were you. It's a lot more chill down there.
