Firstly not sure where to post this, but as it was obviously something in the sky i thought this maybe the best forum.

Wednesday last was a full moon in The U.K. The sky was completely clear of cloud. I went to bed at around 11.30 pm, and the light from the full moon was shining through the bedroom curtains.

I had been in bed for around 5 minutes, when a huge dark shadow floated across the curtains, and took around 15 seconds to clear. It was obviously something floating across the sky being reflected by the full moon. I didn't get out of bed for another minute or so, but then opened the curtian to see what it could have been.

Nothing in the sky whatsoever, no clouds just clear moonlit sky. Wished i had looked straight away.

I found the whole thing very unusual, never seen that happen before.

Clouds passing in front of the moon? I know you said it was clear, but maybe not 100%?

That was my first thought.

However the direction it was travelling, the cloud would have been visible when i took a look. Nothing.

UFOs are usually silent, so who knows. Any missing time? Strange dreams etc?

No sound whatever.

Also none of what you have suggested.

a reply to: alldaylonghi, I would of said a bird or bat flying by but that would be a split second, 15 seconds to pass sounds like a very large object.

Could of been a whole plethora of mundane things.
From a local creep hoping to catch a quick eye full, a plane, a bird - yes birds still fly all hours during the night, cloud, sleep paralysis about to kick in… so many variables at play, damn near impossible to pin point.

What made me find this very unusual. is i have a very large width bedroom window. In fact i have just measured it at 12 feet across.

Whatever it was that flew over, it covered about two thirds the window width as one solid shadow. Depending on the height it was passing over, it could have been very large.

A seagull at just the right distance could create that effect, they're surprisingly quiet at night. For 15 seconds is unlikely though, dissipating clouds? They're not always noticeable at night.

Chances are you'll never know, it might be worth looking at UFO reports in your area?

Huh, who doesn't like huge unexplained shadows?

During a rainstorm I once noticed a diagonal perfectly straight line running across my street at an angle with no rain on one side. We found another "edge" a block over and it formed a huge 45ish degree angle with heavier water fall at the edges, like some huge angular invisible roof was sheltering a wedge of the neighborhood from the rain.

I suspect your instance will have the same result as my inquiry, as in unresolved... though I've guessed that mine might have been a huge triangular ship with active camo hanging in the sky overhead. I can make a similar guess that yours was a overflight of a winged demon... 'cause the triangle ships are massive and I'm just in the mood for winged demons to fly overhead at night ... it seems appropriate for the times and why not?

I'm sorry to hijack this thread but I can't work out how to post my own. Last week I was waiting at a bus stop when I saw 4 bright flashes in the sky in quick sucession. I pulled my phone out to record it but when recording everything seemed to have stopped so I cut video short atv14 seconds. When I looked back I saw 4 things that were not visible to human eye, 2 in front of clouds and 2 behind if you look close enough. Can anyone give any explaination to what I have seen here? Thanks

From what I can see…..I see 3 instances of the color flesh …flashing fast close, in front of the view of the lens…..hand, finger???

Then I see this…

It looks to be a lot closer to your position then zigzagging in the sky at a longer distance.

I don’t know…..it’s zigzagging pretty quick..and very very erratic flying much like bugs.

I have run the original through VLC player on the uncompressed version there are the same artifacts behaving in a similar fasion but obscured behind the cloud cover. When i adjust the brightness too they become more apparent, the ones that are harder to see.

there are 4 maybe 5 different zigzagging artifacts in total.

I thought bugs but it doesnt explain the ones in just about visible behind the clouds, dont think you can see it on youtube due to compression. Also at 11 secs there is another one visible in front of the clouds to the left of the frame.

I’m gonna go with bugs illuminated (reflecting) by the artificial lighting in the area.

It’s ok if you have a different opinion..

Here’s the clearest blur I can get……

To me….it’s 2 bugs doing the “let’s get busy” flight to produce more bugs 😉

It’s still reflecting whatever light source is to the right of it. The left side being in the shade side.

In the right pic ….. it may be the two in the air coupling for coitus… caught! on video 😃

Did you notice the butterfly? At the beginning of you original clip. Roughly middle right of clip below. Don’t blink, you’ll miss it.

This tells me it’s bugs (insects) season. Ergo…..bugs flying around.

Slowed down…..

I get where you are coming from and yes there is definitely a moth at the start but bugs cant hide behind clouds which i think where our difference lies as the youtube video loses them in the compression as they are hard enough to spot in the raw video. I have changed the brightness and sharpened the image and screen shotted the obscure ones, they are moving like the others in the original video
