Lab monkeys on the loose present potential infection risk ------- So now we got to worry about Monkey B Virus ?

Police are searching for several macaques that escaped a truck after a crash
Lab monkeys on the loose present potential infection risk

A truck carrying some 100 monkeys was involved in a crash with a dump trailer in Montour County, Pennsylvania on Friday afternoon.....

While it is unclear whether any animals were injured, some of them were confirmed to have escaped. ... At least four of the monkeys – reported to be long-tailed macaques – are believed to be on the loose.

“There is no way to ensure that monkeys are virus-free, and state veterinary and other records show that monkeys in laboratories in the US have been found with tuberculosis, Chagas disease, cholera, and MRSA,” primatologist and PETA science advisor, Dr. Lisa Jones-Engel said in a statement.

This is freaky not just due to lab scares, but because it's in my region.

They also found smallpox vials in Philly right after Fauci "warned" about smallpox threats. #PsychicFauci

Logged in to post this also. Holy cow. Hopefully they haven’t already been subject to any testing. I have a lot of questions.

This makes no sense, linked below is a picture of lab monkeys in cages ready to be transported. I’m not sure they could even fit 100 of these cages in a big rig, but even if they could how would they breath ? So we would have to have a big rig break open from an accident with a much smaller vehicle and THEN have 4 of these cages open as well, IDK, I call Monkey Business ! 🐒

I feel sad for the monkeys too... 😢

You are spreading the PETA twist on the crash like factual news? REALLY?

How do we know they aren't suave shampoo monkeys? Or maybe some really nice smelling perfume company monkeys? Circus monkeys? Maybe hair color monkeys with pink mohawks?

Said monkeys won't last long in PA in January...in the open.

My guess is that they are already dead.

Depends on what type

The Japanese macaque lives throughout Japan, with a range covering subtropical lowlands to sub alpine regions. ... In the central and northern areas of Japan the temperatures can range from 5° F (-15° C) and snow more than 1 meter deep in the winter, to 73.4° F (23° C) in the summer.
