A few questions regarding depopulation

I was perusing the new threads this morning as I normally do when I came across a thread discussing Covid-19.
In this thread, the topic of depopulation came up. One thing I always question when discussing depopulation is why would anyone want this?

I would assume the only people able to pull this off would have to be very powerful, very wealthy and therefore, most likely very old.
What do they have to gain but a few years of evil bliss before they themselves croak? How much longer do they expect to live? Many of the possible culprits are already pushing past average life expectancies.

I have my own theories, mostly absurd, but I would like to hear what others think before I embarrass myself

Years ago, I think population control was a main issue, but these days all you have to do is visit the schools and you see less children of your country. If it wasn't for immigration some schools would have to close down.
I think today's issue really is not about depopulation but control of its nations people. And we are only seeing step 1 of the process today. I have no idea what the other steps will be, but I do know a little about food , money and travel control. Those are the greatest threats that those that have the power to control us and that needs to be mastered before all steps are in place.

I think it's being blown out of all proportion. Why do they want to do it it is not altruistic, ie, there will not be enough food to feed the growing masses. One must understand rich and powerful people are by their nature are very, very selfish. What they want is a few servants to do their bidding. They don't want thousands of servants as that leads to conflict. But that conflict will not affect them even slightly, but it will affect their servants.
They want just enough people to answer for their needs, not yours, theirs. Anything and anybody else is surplus.

Something to do with sustainability of resources and balance with nature.

To be honest the more developed countries face a population crisis without any need for interference.

It is a "save the earth" thing. The people into depopulation view the peon masses as lice on the head of the earth, something to be rid of for the health of the planet.

Also, they may be very old, but being old myself I can tell you the reality that "I will die" is as an unreal a concept to the old as it is to the young, especially the powerful old. They are doing all they can to stay healthy and young, look at Pelosi's recent face and it tells the story. I feel the same I did in my 30's and if I were surgically enhanced to look in the mirror and see a 30 year old, and my docs said "you are healthy and I'll keep you that way" well you are in deep denial about your true age and lifespan remaining. The reality that you will die fairly soon is intellectual and definitely not internalized.

They also don't internalize that if they get their wish, there will be no one to run basic services or if there is no one to fix things once they break. The rich and powerful will be stuck scratching the earth in rags just like everyone else.

If one's goal was to depopulate the world with Covid, they have done a pretty poor job.

Most intelligent leaders start world wars.


Besides, rich people will always need someone to pick their strawberries for them.

With the recent advances on AI and robotics I wouldn’t be so sure about the requirement for a labour force.

This is the base for my idea on the topic. We're no longer needed due to robots to do the work we used to do. Only a few to maintain the robots will be needed.

Despite being old, they probably want the same as we do for their children... a better world. Just their version of it means less of us.

Or this will just be a way to pick and choose which populations you want to grow, and which ones you want to shrink. They would be able to do this for hundreds of years into the future and as long as everyone believes they need the vaccines, the "Elite" would be able to sterilize or kill off massive swaths of people on earth very easily.

You gotta think long term. Not 10 0r 20 years, but 2 generations they will have changed the entire face of our culture.

You have to realize these people are part of a religion. They aren't planning it for themselves to enjoy, unless you count reincarnation, they are part of a world wide religion that has been in power for thousands of years, and they don't want to lose that control. They believe they are the managers of humanity, so they can pick who lives and dies.

Just like Christianity has last this long, their religion created Christianity, and the mafia, and every monotheistic religion, and the government and the money being used by the government. They believe they have the divine right to rule.

We know what we have to do now. this is what they are afraid of. a great awakening.

Thats just my opinion, i have no idea why they really are doing it, but this is what makes most sense to me.

Birth rates have been declining globally for a couple of decades now. Some blame GMO's and other chemicals for the dropping fertility rate. By 2030 there will be 5 citizens over 65 to every citizen under 65. which isn't considered sustainable.
The industrial age brought about the need for fewer people to perform a task, and the number needed for manufacturing keeps dropping as more progress is made in technology.
Bottom line; most of the human population are 'bottom feeders' and not needed to sustain the 1%. It's basically their wealth that's supporting the infirmed, retired, incarcerated- and that's money that could be going into their world domination pockets.

There's a specific religious cult, with a lot of old money and power, that believe that a specific number of their "saints" will rule over a specific number of slaves, at the end of a specific period of time.

They're running out of time to force their "prophecy" to come true...
