Is No One Talking About the Transgender Monkeys?

While we're talking about Dr. Fauci and the Project Veritas reports on how he was involved in the gain of function research after all. It's worth revisiting his agency's past with weird and torturous animal studies.

We all know about the beagle torture, but here's another one. The NIH wanted to know why transgender women have high rates of HIV. So they applied for grant money based on this premise - they would "create" transgender monkeys by forcibly injecting male monkeys with female monkey hormone treatments to stimulate transgender behavior.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in December 2021 gave Scripps Research $205,562 for the study, which aims to determine why transgender women have high rates of HIV. As part of the study, researchers subject male monkeys ti feminizing hormone therapy to study how it impacts the monkeys’ immune systems, according to the National Institutes of Health.

So basically, they wanted to make these monkeys into "transgenders" somehow and thought that feminizing them with hormones would do it. Of course, this wouldn't work because rhesus monkeys don't get HIV/AIDS; they get a different virus SIV which is much milder and behaves differently. That would invalidate any research findings gained from this exercise.

So what was the point in doing all this, and why did anyone bother to hand over taxpayer money for it?

It does seem he has this thing with liking to do a lot of bizarre and unnecessary experiments on living subjects, doesn't he? And I get that he's not doing them directly, but he's certainly in charge of the agency happily signing off on them left and right.

I'm going to hazard a guess here and say that the experiments were never about AIDS to begin with.

They may have used that as a pitch to get funding but what they were really trying to do is anyone's guess.

It's completely bizarre. The writer of the article I used got the ultimate aim wrong and thought it had to do with lesbians, but reading the quotes they pulled, I don't think it had anything to do with that, but why transgender women have high rates of HIV.

The fact remains that there seems to have been a poorly defined rationale for why this approach with animals that cannot get the disease in question and who do not seem to naturally display the desired behavior would shed any light on their original question.

The US- and much of the world- has been on the same path, but going at a snails' pace, and creating government oversight groups to make sure government entities are doing everything aboveboard.
We have the illusion of freedom, but that illusion could be gone in an instant if need be.

I get confused, by transgender woman you mean a man right? Or is that a woman pretending to be a man? Or is it a man pretending to be a woman?

I can answer the question for way less than $200k, the LGBTQ+ community is rife with STD's and sodomy, not to mention the many sexual partners and lack of contraception.
