It said that the five countries - which are the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council - consider it their primary responsibility to avoid war between the nuclear states and to reduce strategic risks, while aiming to work with all countries to create an atmosphere of security.”…..

Could this be what Aliens want to hear pronounced to the world in order for them to finally reveal themselves in mass… around the planet? The metaphorical Landing on the White House Lawn scenario?

Or, do the Aliens already know, it’s just the annual usual earthly political posturing, with no real substance to work towards ending a Nuclear Arms Age?

As some would say….. Aliens are here, and have been here monitoring our Nuclear developments.

Different schools of thought would lend to Aliens worried we will destroy ourselves, our planet….. I suppose the destruction would also destroy a segment of Aliens already living here on Earth. What Aliens would want to be on a dying planet?

So, I would think Aliens have a vested interest in keeping humans alive on this planet. Of course they would like for us to lay down our Nuclear Arms. Perhaps, now in some way, the Nuclear Armed nations just now, with their statement, has put out an Alien welcoming mat for the entire world to see.

I don’t think it is nuclear bombs or governments that are keeping extraterrestrials from revealing themselves. I think it is us.

Geez, I don't think it's going to take aliens to figure that out!!

People have known for a long time that there are NO winners in nuclear war, only losers. You don't WIN in nuclear war, what you do is make the other guy lose WORSE than you do.

There are never any winners in nuclear war. Never! Zero, none...nada.

Ever since about the 7th grade I've known that, and I didn't need E.T. to enlighten me to this fact, even 45 years later.

Possibly. I think our biggest issue has been our sped up path of evolution though-so I don’t know if we could really say these things were just from our own minds or more a consequence of interventions.

one flaw with that assertion about aliens listening, why bother making statements to make aliens think we aren't warlike? if they are able to read our Internet traffic they likely have many experts or A.I going through all our data analyzing everything about us every day, there's no way one joint statement would fool them.

I do think they understand and have understood through the ages that we are warlike…….

I guess it may come down to the severity of being warlike……

It could be that they know nothing would stop killings of our own species in parts of the world…..to them using conventional weapons is allowable? Just as long as we don’t kill ourselves and all other life with planet killing nuclear weapons? I don’t rightly know.

Yes they have been listening…..but the powers at be of the 5 nuclear nations have kept such talk in murmur’s. The difference now? The world knows we are willing not to use Nukes in a Positive consensus way……it’s the broadcast to the world that the Aliens are listening to ….. so as to convince Aliens we are really serious, at this time in our existence, to move humanity to a universal neighborhood of peace….perhaps.

I think those five nations have known for quite some time now that there would be 'no winners' in a nuclear war, hence there not being one.
M.A.D. is as relevant today as it ever has been.

I'm sure that if there are some alien civilisations up there watching us they'd know this as well.

I suspect its more of a message to other nations to stop poking the hornets nest!

There hasn't been anything like disclosure, this can only mean;
1. Our governments don't want it - for whatever reason(s).
2. Aliens don't want it - for whatever reason(s).
3. There's nothing to disclose.

Your guess is as good as mine....because that's all it is, guesswork and conjecture.

Only that you still need to know what Israel, India, Pakistan, and North Korea think about that deal... See, the five nations you mention are just some of the nuclear bomb club members. And there are more to come (Iran, Saudi Arabia) plus some non-state actors.

On the other hand, a nuclear war is not started to win: it is started for everyone to lose. Including the aliens.

Wasn't there a story that some disturbance when we go nuclear here on earth that through the fabric of space other worlds parallel to ours seize to exist?

What’s with the aliens angle?

Surely this is just green lighting conventional war? Vlad can wrap up Ukraine without worrying about big booms. China can start expanding properly. The threat of nuclear war has always kept real global conflict at bay. Remove that giant stick of doom and, well, they can have at it.

As for aliens, if they are around then revealing themselves would give the world something far more interesting to think about. We might actually change rapidly if humanity could think beyond our marble and know there is a lot more out there.

No nuclear armed country would ever say they were "pro nuclear proliferation."

This does not come from some kind of altruistic righteousness-it is because nuclear armed nations will ALWAYS have more weight on the global stage.

Ths is about keeping the status quo,keeping the nuclear armed nations at the higher end of global influence.

If these countries went to war it would be a conventional war until the losing side feared invasion.

Aliens are the one sent from the "sky heaven" to "test" humanity !
They are harmless if humanity understand the hidden message from the "Sky"

Nobody seem to think that they are saying this because they haven't come up with other WMD in last 80 years?
All this says is that nuclear weapons are so last century. That's it! That's all. In plain sight they are saying we have some 'other stuff' now.
The whole purpose of the first bombs was to declare "my d***'s bigger than yours" and establish the USA as the world's police of everything.
As several have mentioned, "nobody wins a nuclear war" has been known since Little Boy was dropped over Hiroshima!
Why would this declaration make any difference to aliens whatsoever? What difference would it make to them whatsoever?
If I try to link the two, the best I can come up with is that what those 5 countries are in fact saying is
#1. We are all in agreement that we work together against Aliens, which they have been anyhow.
OR
#2. We needn't worry about nuclear weapons because we are working WITH the aliens, and have been for a while.
Either scenario would implicate they are going to announce UFO's/aliens do exist.....which most people already know/believe.

To me it just sounds like the nuclear nations are saying it will be business as usual. By that I mean, they will continue to hold, maintain and upgrade their nuclear arsenals, while making a song and dance about nuclear deproliferation and continuing to make sure that the smaller non nuclear nations, never develop nukes for themselves. All the while the nuclear nations will use their nuclear billyclub, to run around excerpt control, invade and regime change the smaller nations with little defense when ever they please.

If you look at the difference in treatment between Afghanistan and Pakistan after 9/11, during the hunt for Bin Laden, you can see the power and defense even a small nuclear arsenal provides a nation. The US military had no problem kicking down the front door of Afghanistan, but when Bin Laden went over the mountains into Pakistan, the military hit an invisible wall; a nuclear wall, and then suddenly they had to use diplomacy with Pakistan.

North Korea also, is being treated far differently, now that they developed their own nuclear weapons. That is the real reason, the US and other western countries suddenly started offering North Korea a seat at the table of diplomacy.

In my lifetime that has been the totality of the nuclear nonproliferation treaties and discussions. None of the nuclear nations are ever abandoning their arsenal. At least not until technology renders nuclear weapons obsolete and ineffective.

I honestly think this has nothing to do with aliens and is more of a message to countries like Pakistan/India/Israel and those nations considering/trying to get nuclear weapon capability; 'Don't # about with nuclear weapons, we are watching and we will take action to prevent any nuclear exchange'.

And lets be brutally honest; any alien civilisation that has the technology to travel here will view our nuclear technology like we view stone age man's.

The only threats we pose are to ourselves and this planet - Its nice, but perhaps somewhat naive, to believe aliens would step in to protect the planet.....I doubt they'd feel compulsed to step in on our behalf.

I can't see disclosure happening anytime soon, for reasons I gave in my last post.
Its probably my greatest wish for me to be proven wrong on that in my lifetime.
