I knew Japan got snow but this seems like a lot all at once

Strong cold winds and dropping heavy snowfall hit along the coast of the Sea of Japan for the 7th day in a row. Heavy snow disrupted traffic and stranded many vehicles. At least 10 people were injured over the past weekend due to blizzard conditions. Heavy snow caused flight cancelations and disruption to train services in parts of central Japan. More than 10 000 households in the region have been left without electricity.

Yep, pretty bad along the Sea of Japan. Tonight temps in Hokkaido will be -12c. Too cold to have our holiday party at bar tonight. Aomori , just south of Hokkai got some pretty heavy snow also. Down south in Kyushu, spring like weather, even the butterflies are out and so are grasshoppers. Strange times people, I really mean that.

With all the snow along the Sea of Japan, I just hope we don't get an earthquake.

It is true that the farmers know about the signs of the crows, but I don't know the meaning of weather with the crows. Them birds are smart.

We have many ebbs and flows to the weather and they all follow fairly cyclical patterns.
Every 4 years the oceans in the pacific have a La Niña and and El Niño conditions where either warm water or colder water is stationed higher or lower in the pacific. It drags more or less moisture North as this oscillation takes place. Add to that another driver to our weather the sun, it gas a 22 yr cycle and an 11 yr half period of rise and fall in production of energy.

My theory is we are at a sunspot peak (extra energy induction) couple that with a strong flow in our ocean cycle and we get a strong winter. BC my home province is feeling an uptick in moisture, but looking back at records, well signs say we’ve seen it before, and as the cycles match up in the future, I’m sure we’ll see it again.

I for one am loving it! Our local mountains haven’t had conditions like this in a few years now!!

Yea I forgot we have leaders who literally crap themselves, #1 and perhaps that should be #2, and then #1 have no doubt they would spin it somehow that the harsh winter snows in Japan are because enough people didn't get vaccinated.

The angry and vengeful covid god shakaka will continue to pound Japan with snow until everyone is vaccinated and boosted. The worlds government is here to protect you from this vengeful god so they will lie to you and spin it as global something or other and wear your damn mask.

You are so right. I'm sure VP Kamala would agree, Alabama got more snow yesterday than it has gotten in years. Because they won't wear their masks and not enough of them are vaccinated.

My other Sister and brother from another father... live in Reno, and a place in Kirkwood. They got 17 feet last week and possibly another 10 Feet on the way. (20+ feet of snow is normal sometimes)
mynews4.com...< br />
Not uncommon there. It's beautiful....

*note*
Bigburgh is Plugging Business to my dentist brother. but a dire warning.

If you happen to be in the greater Reno, Sparks, Sun Valley, Truckee, Washoe Valley, Ed's Fantasy Girls or Verdi and Virginia City... My Brother has a Dental practice Behind the Peppermill casino and resort. And also the Gardenerville practice.

Winter hours are alway ummmm....

From the practice and Bigburgh's observations, and mothers mouth.

*Attention*
Winter hours are affected by snow reports. if there is so much of a HINT that there is snow in the weather!! the offices of D.B.B. Dd.m hamslammadingdong will be closed. we take SKIING VERY Seriously. office hours may be affected.

Summer hours may also be affected.

on my bucket list, I want to get snowed in like that just once. Of course, if I am completely prepared, in Georgia it just ain't an issue. though I understand even eastern Tennessee got a bit.
