Japan health panel approves Merck’s oral COVID-19 treatment

I don't know about you folks, but all pills have side effects. I hope I don't have to show proof of taking them from a blood test every year or whatever someone is going to require.

A Japanese health ministry panel on Friday recommended approval of the COVID-19 antiviral pill developed by Merck & Co Inc, part of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's plan to roll out new treatments by year-end as concerns rise about the Omicron variant.

The panel's decision sets the stage for shipments of 200,000 doses across the country from this weekend, based on preparations announced earlier by Kishida.

I believe the difference is the pill isnt like a vax...its a treatment for just some folks...who get Covid. It wont prevent, only treat, and only if youre already sick or there-a-bouts sick.

It sounds like Ivermectin but newer. Hopefully it ends up working but as the scientist says

“We have published over and over again that if these drugs are given late, they don’t work,”
