And now the Chinese want to whine....lol
That was an incident with a bit of existing debris of which there is much , Dr Evil has so far added 1,600 additional bits low-Earth orbit flotsam to the mix with an option to expand that to up to 42,000.
Plus Starlink aren't the only player in the game so unless something is don'e about it the more there will be.

If Musk is "Dr. Evil", what does that make China's leader, Xi Jinping?
If the concern is safety of orbital maneuvers and space debris, the Chinese have their own issues to sort out.
I'm guessing (hoping?) the premise of this thread is a tongue in cheek commentary on the Chinese complaint to the U.N.
On a more serious note space is over crowded, we need to get some real space sweepers up there, one good idea I will not begrudge China.

Starlink spacecraft have onboard propulsion and are placed in predictable orbits that are approved by licensing agencies.
That is as it may be but Starlink satellites have been found responsible for over half of the near misses this year and there are currently just a fraction of the satellites in orbit, they're also obscuring our radio and optical telescopes with clutter.

He's a private citizen who will likely save (physically, not spiritually) our species,
has actually offered to help China with outdated rocket designs they stole from him simply so Chinese astronauts would not die due to stolen outdated nonworking schematics. Why complain?

I have no idea whether he is paying his fair share or not. I am not doing his taxes.
I have just made comments on what he has done. Of course I left out a bunch of stuff, I could dig deeper and find more I am sure. But off the top of my head, he is constantly running his mouth to jack up what ever he is invested in. That is what the 6 billion dollar feed the starving people of the world was about. Likes to call people pedo's when they point out his drone wasn't suited for the job at hand. Yeah the dude sounds like a great savoir of mankind.
But let me make a guess. You're all for the government helping rich people get richer, and stay rich after they blew it all. You're just not for the government helping people that aren't rich

Here is a little stunt the savoir tried to pull in in 2016. Forbes[/ b]
This is all about JEALOUSY.
The man just gave more in taxes to the Government than ANY OTHER RICH MAN on the planet recently.

Sure, if you have the most spacecraft in orbit, you will almost certainly have the largest number of potential conflicts with other spacecraft. Those aren't necessarily "near misses". Trajectories of all tracked objects are routinely propagated forward in time by USSPACECOM a few weeks into the future so that the spacecraft operators can take appropriate actions. There are very few actual surprises with tracked spacecraft. As I said, it is the debris from ASAT tests and such like that can't be tracked very accurately that is the problem.
