My post to OP on page 1 was the only way to deal with this properly is to self quarantine.
I am all for not imposing my opinion on what others think is right for them, but that goes both ways.
I don't live in fear, I only wear masks where I have to, I think we're being scammed with this whole 'rona crap, but I don't have to be in the face of those that see it differently.

Definitely on the corned beef hash you’ve mentioned, and definitely gonna try the branstons as I have noticed Heinz have removed a lot of the salt and sugar content…….but I’m not obese or anything, I eat a balanced diet….not sure why Heinz are punishing me for eating a balanced diet, but I’m curious about those branston beans……

The veggie sausage version is horrible but the beans and beans and sausages are pretty much like the Heinze used to taste before they altered all there recipe's, yes it was less salt and sugar but it was also about making them cheaper while keeping the price the same or even putting the price up, in my opinion Heinze have abused there dominant position though they still make a decent tomato sauce.

I do see that. I also know the only way a vaccine could work would be to immunize now against the next mutation, which is impossible for obvious reasons.
For me personally I couldn't care less, I'm reasonably healthy and young-ish.
But yes a little respect and some courtesy would be great

Gotta be the Branstons….people are still eating Heinz like it still has any flavour………that’s it, I’m moving to branstons, maybe I can go to the store and not wear a Heinz mask that doesn’t work and go straight for the pickle jars and flavour full beans…..

Did she always have the same reaction? How many times did she try to explain her beliefs only for the other side to just ignore and audibly reinforce their request?

My quote of you here is the same example where you seemed to be getting agitated having to repeat that you're the step-father, not the 90 y.o. man in the OP. Well, this woman may have been responding similarly for 2 years, so you can imagine the exhaustion.

I'm sure your daughter wasn't rude like the woman, however, from the woman's perspective, your daughter might have looked that way. There are rude people out there, we have to deal with it if it doesn't break any laws. What was the bigger issue: the mean lady's response or the no-mask?

The problem is those that think someone else will fix it. Take care of yourself. My almost 93 y.o. granny hasn't taken a covid shot and she's fine. I have not either, and I'm fine. My brother has, and he's fine.

You guys saying "if you don't do this, it's your fault" or "if you do/did this, it's your fault" are the real problems. For or against the shot, make your own damn decisions. You humans that are afraid because you were told to be are the issues.

I'm a service plumber worker. I've been into atleast 15 houses per week for almost 100 weeks now. Neither my workers or anyone I've worked for has got covid. Unless that's why a few haven't called for heating check ups this year lol

Even if it'd just be any other flu season.

If it was another flu season as you put it, would you be demanding people kept 6 feet away from you while you're wearing your mask and had your 'flu' jab? No you wouldn't, you'd have no right to.

Maybe the person behind OldCarpy's daughter (Wow! Must be the oldest member here on ATS!) is possibly sick to the back teeth of being asked to mask up and is in fact exempt.

Another thing people are missing with this tale is social distancing has not been mandated. So daughter s wearing a mask and turns on somebody to tell them to step back because THEY are social distancing....Sorry, as polite as I am renowned to be, if I was stood behind said woman in mask and she turned on me like that, I would have probably glared at her, to others it would have been a tipping point.
