ATS Radio show! pls read

hello ATSers, I got a great idea, how about ATS make a radio channel, and in the radio it will talk about many different topics, like Politics, NWO, Aliens, Weapons etc. and have like a different topic during different times of the day. and on the talk show lets have people call the ATS station and ask what they think about the subject at matter. it's like going to be a forum except u have live voice and people can express their opions right away. there are many people here on ATS, i am sure many will listen to the radio channel.

what you guys and girls think?

Somehow doubt it would work.

Seems like a great idea, just that I'm sure a lot of people (including myself) would prefer to post on a forum rather than talk on a radio. You can't have 1000's of people talking on a radio station in one day, you could have them all posting on ats.com though

The idea's been thrown around before, and it came to nothing. I believe William...sorry, SkepticOverlord...said that radio was a medium in decline and that the internet was the way forward, or something. Anyway, which individuals do you think would be able to represent everyone on this site on the radio?

this idea has been talked about many times and i still do not see an ATS radio...

What about an ATS podcast instead of an actual radio show?

Members could submit bits that could be edited together by a mod or something into one flowing podcast...

i don't think it would be easily done if formatted like the chat board. however it would work well if done as an extension of atsnn. haveing newsitems/headlines mabe even some of the better posts read seems to me to be doable (just don't expect me to talk lol i suffer from stage fright). it is something that does have merrit. and it's not as if we have any sound effectsthat it would interfere with.

on the radio show we could talk about topics or news that just came out, all people have to do is call the station and said what they think, like from 7pm - 11 pm there is a topic about something like Politics, then 11pm - 3am it could have talks about aliens, and the topics are right off from ATS it will just an extension and get into more detail, i am sure i will listen to it

In addition to ATSNN content, it would be nice to have a daily (or weekly?) podcast that summarized the commentary in most active threads for each topic--and it would be a cool way to get through the information on ATS/BTS/PTS at the end of the day.

It would also give the site a more human feel--especially if everyone had a chance to participate somehow.

This has been hashed out a couple times in the past. We just don't see it as a viable use of VERY limited resources considering the fact that radio is in decline while Interactive Blogs (ATS for one) are rising like crazy.

It takes a huge amount of resources to run a station, and, really, what can you put on ATSRadio? Unless you did a few hours a day, that's it, nothering is feasible at all. You run out of things to say...

A radio show is definately a bad idea. There would be absolutely no dealing with me if I didn't get my own show. I'd never let it go- ever. As it is, I've kicked around the idea of starting a news letter- sort of like in "Conspiracy Theory", but it would only get in the way of all the other things that I'm already not doing adequately or at all. (for example my ATS story, which is all but dead in the water).

Anyway I still want my own ATS radio show if you start a station.

I think it's a great idea.
Interviews with WATS winners, ATS news (who got banned, who got promoted to staff, what important subjects are being discussed) live debates, breaking news, commercials, maybe even music...

"Radio is in decline" not really.
"blogs are the way of the future" not really.
Every single site seems to start with blogs nowadays, it's not original, neither what people want.
Let's be original, let's set the trend for a change.

What about the ATS Weekly, that never seemed to have took off what about organising it with dedicated writers, artists, interviewers and editors?

I'd take part if it started up

it seems to me like another ton of hard work and responsibility for staff that don't get paid for their efforts.

although there's prob a lot of sheeple that would jump at the chance to do the donkey work.. gotta love all the sheeple.. all the time

Can I be the host of the ATS Sports Hour? Maybe it could be broadcast between 3-4 p.m. EST? I could mix in a little conspiracy talk as well. Thanks in advance.

yea Jakko, A conspiracy forum with a radiochannel is a good way to put it A conspiracy radio station, there is none conspiracy radio stations out there. so it would earn ATS lots of money, cause we can have commericals on breaks like every 20 minutes.

+ as an added bouns we could have people wine about bush j/k

It ain't going to happen. To hard and too complicated. Lets stick with the forum. The mods can keep this in check. Doubt they would have much chance if it was a live radio channel.

It could be like the conspiracy version of Howard Stern...

"Ladies and gentlemen. I have an alien groupie in the studio with me, and she's offering to give me a *bleep* probe right here in the studio if I can get her access to Area 51."

You could even have "BTS Hour" with comedy and chat.

I can just see it. "And now it's time for radio's favorite conspiracy overlord.....heeeeeeEEEEEEEERE'S SKEPTIC!!
