"Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under socialism, it is reversed."
-Internet (Some say Mark Twain)

The problem arises when we (as a society) pick and choose when and when not to trust/believe in government. Be it Biden, Trump, Boris, NHS, Fauci, etc.

We tend to trust government more when we have those in power who "say" they believe the same as us.

The true conspiracy theorist doubts everyone. The true conspiracy theorist is the mad man in good times and a prophet in bad times.

I've been trawling on ats for the last almost 15 years because i love a good conspiracy. Getting to know the opinions and breaking headline responses.

I dont really buy into much of it, for me it seems mostly distraction.

Then BAM 2019 happens and you are right....most people i thought as normal are spouting all sorts of bat # crazy theory and agendas.

Its one thing to discuss these things online, completely different when family members are talking like they exist in another reality.

I enjoy the debate, but i find all too often people dont want to debate...they have their minds fixed on the conspiracy and refute the facts.

Rough times ahead i reckon

Wonderful.

So now back on topic.

Does donning a face masked "surgically taped" to one's face, covered with a secondary mask for "displaying opinions" (?!) suggest someone who has a firm grasp on the science? We could ask our cocooned friend, but she may not hear us through her synthetic protective lining, and even then, depending on how much Xanax she's ingested (wonder if that was prescribed?), we may not be able to accurately interpret the answer.

Why didn't one of her go-to sources of PPE point out that if she just stops breathing for the duration of the flight, she'd stand a much better chance of avoiding Omnicron? Would she have taken them up on the advice? o_O

Strangely, the opinions of the medical professionals from South Africa, where this variant emerged from, that this variant exhibits less harmful symptoms than its predecessors, seems to go unnoticed. It's almost as if the MSM is deliberately burying the lede "zOMG A NEW VARIANT (....which doctors tell us if not as severe as previous strains...).

Nevertheless, here reliance on scientifically unproven methods ("surgically taping" protective masks and then wearing a secondary "flavor" mask on top) to protect herself, and her miscalculation of what the real danger of Omicron poses, IMO puts her in the same low-information category of those that believe JFK junior is hiding out on some island.

And what's your opinion on it? Why did you bother to make a thread about it?
I honestly couldn't care less what some random stranger glues to their face or not. But I assume you wanted to discuss something, I just can't figure what that might be.

What happens when there are so few of us who couldn't care less that we're like the only horse in the stampeding herd who sees the cliff and tries to turn and run the other way only to carried on off by the sheer force of his panicked fellows?

I would say, based on the images in your OP (seems like the 'quote' function is broken again? it hasn't worked about three or four times for me now)...

The new normal people are like the old conspiracy theorists, according to the template H*llywood wanted you to embrace.

To the OP, I think you definitely have raised a valid point with the thread.

Where there is fear and gullibility, manipulation is most easily applied.

The Narrative reminds you to pay no attention that stringent guidelines requiring proof of vaccination/negative testing are in place for air travelers to U.S., and that the first case of Omicron was brought into the country from a fully vaccinated individual.

The Narrative desperately requires that the plebes fear COVID-19 (even into 2022) for the restrictions, windfall ca$h cows of PPE, testing, and most importantly (Nx Pfizer to the moon!) the vaccines to continue.

All this MUST continue indefinitely.

It's for your health and safety, you understand.

If you question The Narrative, YOU are considered the irrational one, not the human prophylactic flopped in a Xanax-induced daze in seat B-6.

So yes, I'm going to go ahead and acknowledge the theme of your thread, which is that yes, we are living in some type of upside down clown world.

Exactly, it's the want to be preppers, the panic preppers, the hoarders.

I watch Atlas Bunkers on youtube sometimes and really if I had the means I think know where I can get some acreage and Id be gone, pretty sure they are lots of people feeling that way. LOL, of course, I honestly miss the woods and heading to a cabin in the woods, last time I went it was fantastic, has nothing to do with society's ills.

You hit on what I was trying to convey more succinctly than I did, and certainly better than the memes

If you question The Narrative, YOU are considered the irrational one, not the human prophylactic flopped in a Xanax-induced daze in seat B-6.

If only it was just considered normal, this narrative is making mask wears think they are super-citizens.

If you read this in 1995 everybody would have thought Gates, was having a mental breakdown. Essentially panic and fear-and doom porn. If that isn't a conspiracy theorist, he has all the symptoms of a conspiracy theorist

Ironically the fervor and fanaticism are akin somewhat to the Crusades and all religions' conversion tactics and history. As has been alluded to numerous times here on ATS with the Branch Covidians moniker. Nature abhors a vacuum with religious faith and spirituality under attack, weird the COVIDIANS employ the virtually same tactics, on a much larger and media-based scale

Seriously, Im thinking Bill might not have wanted to do the blended family thing and was looking for an excuse. It's a common feeling for recently divorced men with children, especially. Isn't anything more humbling, visiting your now young adult offspring and former wife in your former home on Christmas. On top of most times, the said offspring side with the parent that didn't fly on the Lolita Express multiple times, like he didn't have his own airplane

Poor little Billy, perhaps we ought to send him a sympathy card, but it feels like he is depressed nd wants to spread it around

I bet the former Mrs. Gates would have all kinds of suitors if she was so inclined

This virus has exposed us, the masses are easily tricked and the people responsible for our situation know this. There's no truth to our world so lies are easily hidden. Truth isn't a thought process it's a feeling like love so no love no truth, our world today.

This isn't a Great Reset, it's the Great Inversion - a process begun at least under Obama but went in to full effect in2020. The truth is now vilified to make lies easier to spread. I find the picture of the overdressed and overstressed woman truly sad and even worse representative of much of the mindset of the public. Imagine someone sky diving but doing it from inside a clear plastic bubble just in case their parachute doesn;t open. Extra layer of security that prevents their chute from actually deploying. This is the state of logic going around today.

I would agree completely they spent a year telling us to look at the data, then when the data as it now is looked at it's a relatively easy task to see they are probably driving more cases, thus more hospitalizations and in some places for deaths than during the previous ATH.

But I do have hopes that people are waking up.

I was discussing this with my daughter who visited us for a few days from Ohio, she seems to think flight travel restrictions only make more people drive for trips, her airport in Cinncinati didn't seem busy at all for a holiday

Passengers moving through the security checkpoints at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport should anticipate waiting on average for:

35 minutes and 12 seconds

according to her this is pretty low on a regular day and especially during the holidays.

Who knows TPTB might want to curtail air travel for the pollution aspect or control etc. because the data doesn't support the measures.

The numbers don't lie
Michigan current deaths last 30 days
3,060
699 from ATH

Georgia current deaths last 30 days
917
2423 from its ATH

Why the need to emphasize 'I do value your opinion'? You said it in both posts.
I come in peace. You're one of the few interesting folks here. We don't have to agree to enjoy a talk, do we?

After reading the tendency of the conversation in this thread one sure can hope more suckers would be like conspiracy theorists. The question everything part.
The obsessing over it and occassional leaps, to give the theory of choice some shine of coherency, society as a whole seems to have down like real pros.
So this thread is a breath of fresh air, if we're honest.
