LOL, you just plagiarized that entire post from Investopedia:

A second possibility is that the number of transactions on Bitcoin's network falls. Such a situation is possible when Bitcoin becomes a reserve asset. Trades involving the cryptocurrency will be few. Retail traders and small trading firms, who dominate its current trading ecosystem, will be eliminated and replaced by large institutional players and established trading firms. They will conduct fewer and more expensive trades that will incur high transaction fees from miners.

LOL, you can't even articulate a point without stealing from someone else. At least give them credit FFS.

It's high time that ATS has a dedicated cryptocurrency/blockchain forum section.

I wouldn't mind a forum here at all, most times the best thing about ATS is it gives you resources to check on to educate yourself.

But honestly, the masses look at crypto-like their computer they don't care how it works they want it to be easy to use. It's none of those things currently.

You put lack of knowledge, regulation, and governmental interference, chitcoins, etc. the masses don't even want to deal with all of that.

Ethereum 2.

Call me when it's out.

I just converted my Ethereum to Ethereum 2 on coinbase. Like an hour ago.

Do you keep current on Safemoon news? Specifically the switch to V2? I migrated mine a couple days ago. There will be a hard deadline to do so, but it hasnt been released yet.

No, do you have a link or advice? I just like the idea behind the coin, but don't want to get caught with my pants down. Again. Can't go back to that dollar general.

I'll send you a DM on here later this evening

It doesn't go live until next year. Maybe.

I staked it for a return, and it's frozen until the launch. It will switch over automatically. But when I see it, it says Ethereum 2.

Yeah, the launch hasn't been announced yet.

Yea, I probably should have been more specific.

I don't see the central bank using an existing coin, but I suppose a new coin on a proven blockchain is more foreseeable. Part of me even doubts that, but then again the card processing took fiat by storm, so anything is possible. That made digital currency a reality skimming a few percent off the top, so anything is fair game.

Kudos man.

Our dollars have far more impact than any vote we ever cast.

At the risk of sounding like some ideolistic fan boy, I love taking bets against the status quo.

Is crypto really going to revolutionize everything? Probably not, because people like what they know and are comfortable with... But if I can make money along the way I don't mind priming the pump... Pun intended.

Sure, no time to click the external quote button before posting, right. You got caught trying to pass off someone else's opinion because you clearly couldn't articulate your own owing to you not understanding the conversation.

That is my opinion, investopedia.com articulated it for me. Not giving them credit doesn't magically make it not my opinion too. We can still hold the same sentiments without me pressing the quote button. Have a good Monday.

You haven't explained, using 'your opinion' pinched from Investopedia, how BTC's lack of scalability or speed permit it to work in consumer transactions.

I never said it would. However the protocol for bitcoin could be changed to allow for bigger blocks thus allowing for a faster transaction rate. This has been done with Bitcoin SV (BSV). Do I think it will happen? It's a possibility.

Sure you did, in the other thread you made the absurd claim that it would take over from the dollar. Odd since you can't even use it in a retail environment.

It was sarcasm and, this isn't that other thread.

Do you disagree that the protocol could be modified in order to improve Bitcoin's transaction rate?

FFS, they're referring to trades, not retail purchases.

It would still need a faster transaction rate.
