Anyone catch the members-only segment of Timcast IRL last night?

twitter.com...

Things got pretty heated real quick, on BOTH sides. Rugged-man brought up Kyle Rittenhouse and Ahmad Arbery during the main show that's hosted on youtube live (currently on Rumble only for viewership). Through-out the episode, Ruggedman was acting like a typical Long Island person. And I can say that as a white boy who currently lives in long island and has never lived in another area but LI.

He argued that Rittenhouse was a p-word who should have fought 'Jojo' instead of shooting him. This is something you would see typical of city/burbs dwelling kids. Completely avoiding the facts of the story, as if he didnt want to acknowledge them and continued to banter his hosts (Tim Pool and Luke). Further went on to describe the 3 men who shot Arbery as "Crackers" repetitively.

I did mention that Rugged Man the rapper is white, right..?

All I got from him in that episode last night was that he was naive to the issue of race, was a white man trying to apologize for his race to the point he'd most likely justify the killing of a white person, like Rittenhouse because he won't accept that Jojo attempted to take his gun. Actually, his response to "Jojo had his hand on the gun" was why didn't he just knuckle up then?

I have to accept that city dwellers/burbs people do not understand these issues at heart. And I'm saying that as one of them, it took my a little while to realize how things operate and work in life, thankfully I was still young when all these realizations came to me.

But during the after-show podcast, in the clip you can see above, is basically a summary of how belligerent the man was acting through-out the main show.

I'll leave this here for you all to digest. If you want a link to the main show, it's about a 2 hour show, here's the link:

rumble.com...

Ruggedman, a white man in a black mans music genre, talking like he's from Marcy Housing projects, being a white apologist, something just doesn't sit right with all that...It's like willful ignorance.

As a self made producer of hip hop media, this rugged man character has "business impulses". Like so many of his ilk, his career thrives on cheap fabricated outrage and reactions for Internet clout. And 5 million TikTok viewers who will eat it up because they dont have the attention span to sit through a 20 minute Russel Brand video nevermind the actual trial of Rittenhouse.

Am I the only one who never heard the name Rugged Man before today?

Every word absolutely true.

Again, as someone who lives and grew up in Long Island, I can confirm all this, this is a daily occurrence of my life. I call all my friends clout chasers because they just parrot the same bull*, it's as if they think it makes them cooler to fall in line with everyone else in regard to the same lie.

But imagine picking up a book? I tell my friends the most joyful thing I do is read, they look at me like I have a second head or that I'm some holiness creature.

And when I tell them about the news or politics? They don't care LMAO they want to know about the newest episode of their favorite show or what their musicians are eating tonight..

Never heard of Rugged-man either tbh, I grew up listening to hiphop too

I can just tell by his voice, he is one of those clout-chasing try-hard white people trying their HARDEST to apologize for his race. But...when 75%+ of your audience are ignorant people, he did the right thing in their eyes...

Agree but I feel like anyone in culture should understand the political scene because everything around us is a result of politicing imo, at the very least most of the issues at the core of hiphop music... But then I'd be wrong for assuming everyone should think like me or that my points of view are completely right without having walked in everyones shoes.

I just didn't appreciate his narration of the Kyle Rittenhouse situation, although I absolutely agree with him that people are completely pontificating Rittenhouse.

First I have heard of him, his belligerent behavior absolutely put in him the camp of "that guy" whatever the hell that means lulz.

Nope.

I thought the OP was talking about member RaggedyMan, and I was thinking, "Why was one of our members on Tim Pool, and why that one in particular?"

I saw this. The episode and the after show on the Timcast website where the big eruption occurred. The guy was an insufferable ass throughout. I kept thinking "Shut up and listen!" But he couldn't listen to save his life. Both ignorant and arrogant. He exposed himself to be a racist while projecting onto those around him. Many Far Left lunatics do this of course, but seeing this demonstrated in real time was rather awe-inspiring. I'd be fascinated to hear a psychiatrist's take on this discussion. People like 'Ra the Rugged Man' represent a widespread and serious problem in modern society, and it seems impossible to ever reach them. No amount of facts, articulation, common sense, human decency, pleading, shouting, rationalism, or diplomacy can break down the titanium walls of their bubble bunker.

Precisely, what I found ironic was he kept mentioning he doesn't fall in line with "critical race theory", when after listening to him for even 5 minutes, he's the EPITOME of what critical race theory teaches.

What Ruggedman did not understand what Tim Pool was trying to articulate is, critical race theory as a subject matter is fine. Teaching about the atrocities of CERTAIN PEOPLE is fundamental in realizing history and your roots. But that's subjective. Tim Pool argued against teaching practices that change fundamentals and context in a racist light.

Exmaple:

Critical Race Theory SUBJECT:
Christopher Columbus was a European colonist who settled in the Americas. He did so because blah blah blah and a lot of people suffered in the Americas.

Critical Race Theory PRACTICE:
Christopher Columbus was a white nationalist, part of a system of white hierarchy, who sought, in essence, to enslave the brown people

Yes, he explained what he meant by this a number of times, 'Ra the Rugged Man' would not accept it. He's too tied into his political allegiance to turn on them. It's a case of 'my team vs. yours'. Maybe a skilled diplomat could eventually reach him, but I thought Tim Pool did a good job trying.
