i always wonder when I read articles like this, it not being genuine Omnicron isn't anywhere near overtaking Delta yet, and even if it does it is probably a good thing it's less lethal and severe, but they will hype up cases over and over.

Doesn't anybody remember the sane people pointing out once it escaped China it was likely to infect us all sooner or later, just like everybody has had the flu or cold before too?

it's performing just as most coronaviruses do, we just put it on TV and social media 24/7 the last 2 years all with governmental insistence

I posit if the TV, news, government, and social media gave herpes the same treatment, the masses would be wanting to vaccinate, quarantine, track and restrict persons for that too.

Omnicron is the red sliver, this is from North America in Africa it's about 1/3 larger than here but Delta is still by far the dominant strain so the premise of the article seems flawed.

That's how I understand it. But hey, at this point, irrational fear is all they have left.

They keep saying "trust the science." Well, I do trust the science, which is why I understand that we've placed the world on lockdown for a disease that is no worse than a typical strain of the flu. And that they keep insisting on mask mandates, despite the fact that we've known all along that those masks don't help to prevent the spread of the virus. And lately, it is becoming clear that the vaccines are not very effective. They don't prevent you from catching COVID (I know; it happened to me and my family), and what little protection they might offer appears to wear off after a few months.

The locations with the highest vaccination rates are the same places that are still seeing high infection rates. Many are trying to somehow blame unvaccinated people for this, but that is totally irrational. What's happening is that the ineffective vaccines are producing a false confidence among the vaccinated, who are then going out to parties, restaurants, etc, and catching COVID. The response isn't more booster shots, because that's just the same junk vaccine that didn't work the first 2 or 3 times. The best solution is to simply get COVID and recover, because studies are also finding out that natural immunity is far superior to any of the vaccines.

Don't need scientist to figure out that anyvirus will eventually dusappear or get less harmful.
Once it's like this, all is over and we have learned to live with each other.
Viruses don't want to kill their hosts, nor do they eant you to stay home alone in bed.
The common cold scares noone, yet it is deadly to thise who have never encountered it.

Omnicron originated supposedly in South Africa where vaccinations as shown in the picture are well less than 50%. Ergo vaccines aren't necessarily the main or only reason for variants.

I was pointing out the timeline of COVID not its effects a subtle but distinct difference FWIW but...

Come on you think every COVID death was an actual COIVD death, forget the likely possibility hospitals played up their deaths for federal funding, just by faulty testing and/or misdiagnosis, etc. You know the same thing people are saying about possible vaccine-related deaths and injuries we are hearing about.
